Posted June 30, 20169 yr comment_5758292 This starts with Paul Boesch interviewing the Four Horsemen and JJ Dillon in full which was an awesome sight with Boesch goading Dillon as Dillon said that Boesch had a sick mind for booking cage and scaffold matches. Flair then talks about why the Horsemen are great. Extra material just because of the Boesch element."The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, & Barry Windham vs. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff, "Total Package" Lex Luger, & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams (6/10/88)This is from Houston and the Horsemen are trying to come to the ring but Luger chases them away before they come back. Awesome seeing Boyd Pierce sitting ringside as the ring announcer. The faces are very strong early on especially Luger who takes it all 3 Horsemen here then Doc would come in and the Horsemen are bumping and selling like crazy at this point especially Arn who was stooging his ass off. Nikita came in and we got more of the same with a fun spot where Flair suplexed Nikita who got up and tagged Luger as Flair was celebrated and Luger throttled him. Arn would cheapshot Luger from the apron though and he was caught in the Horsemen's corner so the Horsemen went to work on him vigorously. Luger would sneak a tag to Nikita who came in firing away but the Horsemen would catch him and then started working him over hard. Nikita at this stage was really good working as the FIP and was taking all the Horsemen's big moves but still was kicking out. Luger got the hot tag and he chased Flair out to the floor where he would post him then threw him back in the ring with Flair now juicing and Luger working over the cut viciously. The match now breaks down into a wild brawl with Tommy Young counting both Flair & Luger out. This was a very fun match and just a cool match to watch in general since it was in Houston. Fairly easy nomination. Now we go to the 6/25 NWA Pro show which starts with clips of the Horsemen beatdown on Luger in the parking lot in Miami. Schiavone then interviewed Dillon about the situation and said that Luger was warned to watch his back and he failed to heed that warning. Flair then shows up and said that if you are going to be a champion then you have to be the best and Luger isn't ready for that yet.Sting & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. Jerry Price & Keith Steinborn (6/12/88)Total squash and they talk to Jim Ross after the match and what a promo this was."The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, & Barry Windham vs. Joe Cruz, Max McGyver, & Bob Riddle (6/12/88)The Horsemen are like a machine taking these guys apart then talk to Bob Caudle after the match saying that was just a warmup.Dusty is out next for a promo saying that Lex Luger is the uncrowned NWA Champ and Barry Windham's US Title is his as well."Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Agent Steel (6/12/88)Garvin Stomp time and Steel feels the pain as Mr. Torture does what he does best here. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. Tommy Angel & Trent Knight (6/12/88)Dominant showing by the MX.Schiavone interviews Paul Jones next who said that he is the Powers of Pain no wrestler and he can make anyone the Powers of Pain as Barbarian & Warlord have left for WWF. The burying is getting deep on all the TV shows.Luger is out next for a promo with Caudle saying that Flair can't run from him now."Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. The Terminator (6/12/88)Not sure who this Terminator is but Nikita finishes him off quickly with the Russian Sickle. Nikita then talks to Caudle afterwards talking about getting revenge on Al Perez at the Bash.Ricky Santana & Kendall Windham vs. The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams (4/14/88)Good back and forth action to start nothing special until the Sheeps start working over Kendall's back which was also pretty good. Santana gets the crowd hyped up chanting USA trying to will Kendall to get the hot tag but he can't get there. Miller misses a big splash hitting all knees but Kendall still can't get the tag. Santana is working the corner like crazy but the fans aren't as hot for this. Kendall finally gets the hot tag to Santana who runs wild on the Sheeps until Kendall joins in. Ace jumps on the apron with the flagpole allowing Butch to catch him with a knee. Tommy Young sees the flagpole in the ring and refuses to count allowing Santana to schoolboy Miller to win. Ace then brawls with the Sheeps afterwards before Rip Morgan makes his debut attacking him as well. The match is just okay but the angle deserves to be an extra.
