World Championship Wrestling 7/30/88

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin & Barry Windham vs. Tommy Angel & Dale Laperhouse (7/25/88)

The Garvin/Windham team reuniting this time as heels is a great touch and they look great together. I would've loved a full-time team with these guys at this time. Garvin, Windham, & Dillon join Crockett next where he calls them co-US Heavyweight Champs. Dillon gets pissed and steals the mic and then Windham talks about Sting wanting the title but he won't get it. Gary Hart & Al Perez then show up and they talk about their plan about destroying Dusty Rhodes. Then we get clips from NWA Pro where Dusty attacked Gary Hart with Garvin telling him to jump on them not Hart.

Next we get an MX squash from NWA Pro which was the catalyst for the MX/Horsemen deal for the NWA World Tag Titles.

Flair is out next with David Crockett talking about Luger will be getting his big rematch soon before being joined by Arn & Tully and talking about going around the country and getting with all the women. Dillon then talks about the situation with the MX and Arn just unloads on the MX which was hilarious. Arn telling Stan Lane that he has chased women so long he has become one. One of the best promos of the era here. Definite extra.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Trent Knight & JC Wilde (7/25/88)

The champs are pumped up and they take it out on these guys and boy do they.

Luger comes out next talking to Crockett about getting his rematch with Flair with Luger saying the women only look at Flair's wallet not his face. Luger takes his shirt off of course while he tells Flair that he will beat him.

Sting vs. Rick Allen (7/25/88)

Sting wins very easily and he does a Blackjack Mulligan impersonation as he rips up Windham which was hilarious.

The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. Mike Jackson & Larry Stephens (7/25/88)

The Fants look better every week right now...tremendous team. Fants then join Crockett afterwards talking about their friends the RnR being there so they can team up to take out the Horsemen and the other heels.

World Championship Wrestling 8/6/88

The Varsity Club (Rick Steiner & Mike Rotundo) vs. Bob Emory & Brad Holiday (7/25/88)

Sullivan gets his shots in as his boys destroy these guys. Tony talks to the VC afterwards with Rotundo & Steiner fighting each other and it's hilarious.

The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Bret Holiday & Tony Suber (7/25/88)

Sheeps just toy with these guys before putting them away. Jim Ross talks to them after the match and they think they should be getting the shot at the Horsemen not the MX.

Brad Armstrong vs. Joe Cruz (7/25/88)

Another solid win for Brad. I love that Ross talks about how Brad's legal people hasn't been as aggressive in getting him title shots over the past couple of years.

Kevin Sullivan vs. JC Wilde (7/25/88)

Sullivan is a complete maniac here destroying Wilde. Ross talks to Sullivan after the match where he talks about how he used to believe in the American dream but all you get if you believe in it is the shaft. Sullivan then tells his life story and this is amazing. Extra material.

Mike Jackson & Curtis Thompson vs. Tommy Angel & Bob Riddle (7/25/88)

A rare match with the job guys although Jackson has a reputation already and Thompson had a great look so you could tell who was valued.

Next we get a taped promo from Flair about the rematch with Luger.

Chris Champion vs. Don Valentine (7/25/88)

Champion uses his martial arts here in this showcase match including the Daniel LaRusso crane kick from Karate Kid to win.

Jim Cornette & Bobby Eaton join Jim Ross next for a promo saying that Stan Lane is sick and met so many nurses in the hospital he is staying for 4 more days. Cornette then talks about the upcoming match against the Horsemen. Extra material.

"Beautiful" Bobby Eaton vs. Gary Phelps (7/25/88)

Easy win for Eaton.

Dillon comes out next saying that he won't go word for word with Cornette who talks about his mama which brought out Cornette who calls Dillon a Foster Brooks lookalike which was great. This was a tremendous segment and a definite extra.

"Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez vs. Rick Allen (7/25/88)

Perez wins very quickly. Jim Ross then asks Gary Hart after the match if he wants to put Garvin & Perez against the Horsemen but Hart said that if Cornette talked to him like he did Dillon then he would stick that racket down his throat. Hart then tees off on Cornette calling him a parasite before going off on Dusty which brings out Kevin Sullivan where they talk about Dusty. Extra material.

Next we get a taped promo from Dusty with Bob Caudle talking about how Dick Murdoch has come back to the fold.

"Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Trent Knight (7/19/88)

Murdoch & Dusty both beat the hell out of poor Knight. Caudle then talks to the Outlaws after the match.

Rip Morgan vs. Bear Collie (7/25/88)

Morgan just mauls poor Bear.
