Dusty joins David Crockett next for a promo talking about the dog collar match with Sullivan. Dusty then goes off on a fat lady who always makes fun of Dusty every week saying that he has turned down uglier women than her. Hilarious.

Sting is out next in his surfer shorts which are all neon colors talking about Barry Windham being in the shadows of people all the time.

Mike Jackson & Gary Royal vs. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) (8/31/88)

The fans are getting firmly behind the MX now in this Horsemen feud. MX are pissed and just beat on these guys around the entire ringside area. Cornette comes in the ring and bashes Jackson & Royal with the tennis racquet then throw Teddy Long over the top rope. This was quite the squash. Crockett talks to them afterwards Extra material.

NWA World TV Title: "Captain" Mike Rotundo © vs. "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin (8/31/88)

Sullivan grabs Precious as Garvin comes out and he gets beat down by both Sullivan & Rotundo. Sullivan then threw down Precious and threw two cinderblocks on Garvin's leg with Garvin yelling that his leg was broken. The babyfaces then ran out and they put Garvin on a stretcher. Definite extra.

NWA World TV Title: "Captain" Mike Rotundo © vs. Bob Emory (8/31/88)

Emory replaces Garvin and Rotundo puts him away very quickly. Dr. Death then brawls with Rotundo after the match.

David Crockett has a piece of the block with him and says that Garvin is in bad shape and is on his way to the hospital. Then they show a replay of the angle.

Next we get a taped promo from Flair about the upcoming Luger matches that will have a special referee. Flair talking about Herschel Walker being a big deal for black folks but he ain't the champ was something else. Extra material.

Barry Windham vs. Italian Stallion (8/31/88)

Windham steamrolls Stallion here. Dillon & Windham then talk to Crockett afterwards and Windham said that he hasn't been in anyone's shadows and that he will teach him a lesson.

Ron Simmons vs. Joe Cruz (8/31/88)

Big Ron is back after being gone for a while and he dominates Cruz. Simmons talks to Crockett afterwards and tells the kids to stay off drugs.

Ricky Morton & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. The Menace & Jerry Price (8/31/88)

Morton & Doc is another oddball team but they do a good job here.

David Crockett updates everyone on Garvin saying that Garvin's leg is definitely broken and that Precious is with him.

Luger also sends in a taped promo about the upcoming matches with Flair. Luger said he wants a special referee that's big enough to handle guys like him and Flair.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Russian Assassin vs. Terry Jones & JC Wilde (8/31/88)

Paul Jones shakes hands with Ivan before the match and Ivan is very aggressive in this match. Ivan had the match won but Jones told him to tag in Assassin to get the win. Tony talks to the heels afterwards and Jones said that he & Ivan are back good again.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Tommy Angel & Trent Knight (8/31/88)

This is the last time that Arn & Tully ever teamed on TBS as they were gone 11 days later. Knight jumped Arn before the match and Arn dropped him with a DDT right on his head to win in seconds. They all join Schiavone after the match with Dillon talking about Cornette's comments earlier and Arn ripping on Cornette's mama. Extra material.

"Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez vs. Rick Allen (8/31/88)

Perez jumped Allen before the match started during the break and made very quick work of him. Hart then talks about Dusty after the match and he said that the Jimmy Garvin injury earlier was a message being sent to Dusty.
