Brad Armstrong & The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. "Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez, "Dogfaced Gremlin" Rick Steiner, & "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko (9/10/88)

This is from the Philly handheld and it took a bit before they got the camera in the right direction. The Philly fans love them some Steiner and he is the most over guy in this match. Nothing really special here other than seeing Steiner getting over huge.

The Road Warriors vs. Rip Morgan & Russian Assassin #1 (9/10/88)

Morgan is subbing for Ivan Koloff and does the job after a subpar match. The Roadies are mega over here. Ivan Koloff comes out and attacks Paul Jones after the match before the Assassins attack him. The Roadies then make the save.

NWA World TV Title: "Captain" Mike Rotundo © vs. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff (9/10/88)

This went about 20 minutes and it was okay for what it was but a little too tedious for me. We even got a false finish with Nikita pinning Rotundo whose foot was on the bottom rope. Nikita backdropping Rotundo over the top rope was the DQ as well.

Dog Collar Match: "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes vs. "Gamesmaster" Kevin Sullivan (9/10/88)

Brad Armstrong was handcuffed to Al Perez at ringside. Very short but wild match and Brad would hit Sullivan with the bell KOing him. Both men juiced and I wish we would've had a better angle at this match.

US Heavyweight Title: Barry Windham © vs. Sting (9/10/88)

Sting is really over here with the Philly crowd as he looks good on offense with Windham bumping and selling hard for him. Windham got some offense in but Sting would come back until Windham locked on the iron claw and refused to release it so we got another shitty DQ finish.

NWA World Tag Titles: "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard © vs. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) (9/10/88)

This was supposed to be a 2 out of 3 falls match but it's the champs last night so they changed it. The fans are red hot for the MX here which they always were in Philly. This was a really fun back and forth match with a tremendous finish that has to be on the set for historic reasons as well. Easy nomination.

NWA World Heavyweight Title - SR: John Ayers: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "Total Package" Lex Luger (9/10/88)

This is a really strong Flair/Luger house show match with all the bells and whistles you expect from these two and a very hot crowd to boot which always helped. The stretch run of the match was great as the fans honestly believed they were getting a title change until Dillon & Windham got involved. John Ayers even got a shot in on Windham which was cool. I dug this a lot and I think this should be on the set as a fairly solid nomination.
