Perez & Zbyszko look very strong here and Gary Hart talks after the match how they are coming for tag team gold.

Humperdink is out next with Crockett talking about Gary Hart bringing in his big man and he tells him to bring it on. Humpy then said that he wants Flair to watch Bigelow because he will shut his mouth. Then we get Bigelow vs. George South from NWA Pro.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Russian Assassin #2 (Jack Victory) (10/11/88)

This is a brawl at the bell before it slows down with Nikita working over the arm. Assassin sent Nikita flying to the floor where Jones hit him with his riding crop in the ribs then Assassin dropped Nikita rib first on the railing. Assassin works over Nikita with some restholds and Nikita does a good job of keeping the crowd into it with his selling and hope spots. Nikita caught Assassin with the Russian Sickle before the other Assassin ran out allowing Assassin to load his mask which he used to KO Nikita. Paul Jones helps Teddy Long up but Ivan would run out to choke Jones before they pull him out of there. Ivan & Nikita then talk to Tony after the match and fired up babyface Ivan is something else.

Ron Simmons vs. John Savage (10/11/88)

Simmons totally dominates Savage.

Flair is out next talking about how he has a cold and he is going to save his venom for Humpderink next week then cuts a promo about how great the NWA is.

"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert vs. Trent Knight (10/11/88)

Gilbert is back in the NWA and as a babyface because he is avenging his friend Jimmy Garvin. Gilbert messed up the Hot Shot the first time so he does it again to win. Gilbert cuts a promo next about coming in for payback against the Varsity Club.

The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Tommy Angel & Curtis Thompson (10/11/88)

Sheeps pound and pound on these guys before finishing them off then they talk to Tony afterwards about winning the US Tag Titles and teaching the Fantastics a lesson in respect.

The Varsity Club are out next talking about what Eddie Gilbert said earlier and Sullivan said that Gilbert isn't tough enough to beat them. Steiner then ribs Rotundo about how Sting had Rotundo beaten in a previous match which got the fans going.

The Varsity Club (Rick Steiner & Mike Rotundo) vs. Joe Crus & Gene Ligon (10/11/88)

The VC tear these guys up but Steiner was sent to apologize for what he said about Rotundo and didn't actually do it. Steiner rooting against Syracuse again was funny.

"Gamesmaster" Kevin Sullivan vs. Bob Emory (10/11/88)

We get more of the VC drama here as Sullivan squashes Emory and the fans love rooting for Steiner.

Ron Simmons joins Crockett next and he said he has no interest in the Varsity Club and they need to stay away from him. Simmons then talks about how his true friends will be with him through it all.

Dillon talks to Tony next and he said that no matter what the promoters try to do Windham would never defend his US Title against Dusty Rhodes ever again.

"Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Agent Steel (10/11/88)

Murdoch toys with Steel before dropping him with the Brainbuster and threatens to take his mask off but stops himself. Murdoch then talks to Crockett about the Roadies turning on Dusty & Sting and he said that they are now enemies and he ain't afraid of them.
