Posted July 10, 20169 yr comment_5759014 Rock & Roll Express vs Midnight Express 2/1/86 Cornette's MX houseshow matches. This is another good match in their series. This has a lot of nice little nuances going on. In the early part Eaton backs Gibson into the corner and gives him a cheapshot pinch in the corner. Eaton walks away real proud of himself. Gibson follows him Eaton turns around for a Gibson punch that pops the crowd. That is what we call working. The Rock N Roll are real good in the shine segment. Morton does the most amazing Victory Roll. The MX bump and stooge. Morton chases Cornette twice around the ring, while Gibson gives it a try as well. The crowd is so hot for this. Eventually, Morton is FIP and takes an ass kicking with most everything focused on is his neck. Of course Morton is selling his ass off and the crowd is totally behind him. This eventually leads to a DQ that the crowd buys. Overall real good stuff in their legendary feud. Easy Nomination. Rock & Roll Express vs Midnight Express 2/23/86 This ii from Japan tv. It's the typical match from these guys. Which means pretty damn good. Morton was great s FIP. The cut offs were done realy well. Solid nomination.Wrestling Rarities MX disc 1 Rock & Roll Express vs Midnight Express 3/22/86 Brawl to start. It settles down Early shine by the Rock n Roll. The MX are great at stooging for the faces. The MX turn the tide and work over Morton. I'm loving the hope spots in this. Crowd erupts at the hot tag. Low-End Nomination Wrestling Rarities MX disc 1 Rock N Roll Express vs Midnight Express 4/12/86 From Japan tv and Cornette up in a cage. Faces with the early shine. Action is fast and furious. The chemistry these guys have with one another is on point here. Now it's the MX turn to punish Morton. Who is so good as FIP. Loved the finish too. High End Nomination Midnight Express vs Road Warriors 4/18/86 . This is a low-end nominatio'n. It's also a handheld. Condrey starts off and does a great job bumping and stooging.Doing everything he could to make the LOD look like a million bucks. Now it's Eatons turn and he eats a ton of power moves from the Roadies. Eaton takes the damnest thing I've ever seen. Hawk does a running clothesline to Eaton. He takes a bump over the top rope and lands on his feet only to eat a running clothesline on the floor from Animal. To get the heat Corny nails Animal with a Racket and the MX get heat on Animal. They go after the back. The shine was awesome, the heat was just ok. They build to a Dusty finish of sorts. The Road Warriors had an aura about them. Finish later Midnight Express vs Magnum TA/Dusty Rhodes 5/4/86 Americas Team is on fire to start. Bionic elbow from Dust. Faces just walking tall to start. The Baby Doll/Corny stuff was fun. Magnum is busted open and the MX just go after the cut. The MX are masters at getting heat. Now it's the Dreams turn for FIP. Not a fan of the finish. Still this was good enough for a low end nomination. Wrestling Rarities MX disc 1 Midnight Express vs Road Warriors 8/4/86 This is very similar to the Philly handheld. Even the way the heat was set up, and the finish. This is a Japan World Pro taping This is a basic tag. The MX carried this with their stooging and bumping. Condrey's character work here was great. Hawk caught Eaton in mid air in attempting a Rocket Launcher and turned it into a power slam. In the grand scheme of things we probably don't need so similar of a match between the same teams.
