Posted July 13, 20169 yr comment_5759163 The Original Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Ravishing" Randy Rose) vs. Daivd Isley & Trent Knight (11/27/88)Paul E. being pissed before the match that they play the music before he is able to talk about his boys is great. OMX again have a strong showing taking out the jobbers. Paul E. talks with Crockett after the match whining about the opponents saying that he wants better competition then talks about how Eaton had to tell his son why he turned on Dennis. This is good stuff. Extra material.Next we get a Starrcade Update where it's announced that Flair vs. Luger would be a No DQ match.Sting vs. Joe Cruz (11/27/88)Easy win for the Stinger who after the match talked about how he & Dusty are going to their old ways against the Roadies at Starrcade. Sting is hilarious here. Then we get clips from the Dusty/Animal angle which gets the blurred treatment. Next we get a taped promo from Dusty talking about what happened to him where Dusty basically said they should've killed him when they had the chance. Extra material. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. Bob Emory & El Negro (11/27/88)Cornette pandering to the fans at ringside is great and the fans are nuts for the MX as they manhandle these guys. Cornette then joins Crockett after the match going off on what Paul E. said earlier saying that he was handling Condrey & Rose literally. Extra material. The Commandoes (Grizzly Boone & Ray Candy) vs. Keith Steinborn & JC Wilde (11/27/88)These two big dudes destroy these jobbers."Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Jerry Price (11/27/88)Flair working TBS two straight weeks was something he hadn't done in a long while. Ross taking shots at Jerry Lawler saying that Flair wasn't the Memphis City Champion or the Tarrant County Champion was great. Flair coasts to victory as Price is no competition for him. Flair & Dillon join Crockett after the match talking about the DQ rule at Starrcade saying that Luger is great but not as great as Flair.Barry Windham vs. Tony Suber (11/27/88)Windham looks outstanding here and I loved how Tony & Ross on commentary were talking about how Bigelow was now playing on the major stage and how maybe he will step up to the challenge. Windham & Dillon then talk to Crockett after the match about how Dillon could lose it all but he shrugs it off. Windham said that he will beat Bigelow easily."Dogfaced Gremlin" Rick Steiner vs. Randy Hogan (11/27/88)Hogan is just so funny to watch to me and Steiner just kills him with a German Suplex early on then a Steinerline. Steiner at one point plays with a child putting his headgear on her. Steiner wins and then talks to Crockett afterwards about his match with Rotundo at Starrcade and Alex talks to the fans. The Road Warriors are out next talking about Dusty's promo earlier and they say they are walking death to Dusty then they pull out an apple sticking a knife through it sayign that's Dusty's other eye.The Varsity Club (Mike Rotundo & Steve Williams) vs. Randy Mulkey & Mr. Pain (11/27/88)There are no jobbers in the ring which is interesting with Mulkey coming out saying that he would work a singles match with one of them. Sullivan slapped him very hard in the face and Mulkey would face both men. The cameras caught a masked man hiding wearing yellow headgear as Mulkey is getting murdered. Mr. Pain then runs in the ring and it's Rick Steiner attacking the VC and then runs away. Crockett then interviews Mr. Pain and he whispers to Crockett that's him and his friend Ralph. Fun angle and extra material.Paul Jones is out next for a promo talking about Ivan Koloff solo now because Nikita has quit and that Ivan controls his life because if Ivan wins he has to retire."Total Package" Lex Luger vs. Terry Jones (11/27/88)Impressive victory for Luger who then talks to Crockett afterwards about how the Road Warriors are disgusting for attacking Dusty like they did but Dusty & Sting will get them. Luger then talks about Flair and said that it's time for a champion who wins with honor and that's him.Sir Oliver Humperdink is out next talking about Bigelow vs. Windham at Starrcade and then talks about the fans booing him which doesn't matter because him & Bigelow are coming for the US Title.Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Max Miles (11/27/88)Bigelow destroys Miles then Windham & Dillon ran out for a brawl as both the wrestlers and the managers were fighting each other. Dillon chokes out Humperdink as Windham & Bigloew fight at ringside.
