[2000-01-14-ECW-Danbury, CT] Raven & Tommy Dreamer vs Steve Corino & Jack Victory (Street Fight)

Another brawl and some more shoddy camera work catching up. Raven hits Corino with a RF tape so that could explain why they skipped constantly. Raven and Corino are in the bathroom and now Raven is personally escorting Corino around the arena. We finally get a glimpse of Raven and Victory and Victory is busted open and sent through a table. Dreamer comes inside the ring, gives Corino the DDT and picks up the victory. Really a nothing match as all we got was lazy Raven brawling. *

Raven and Corino brawl into the bathroom, but this match isn't much otherwise. I remember when brawling into the crowd was novel and indicative of escalated hate. At some point, it became a way to cover for uninspired brawling. I think there are limitations to what a fancam can capture in a tag match that's basically being wrestled under a tornado rules format.

Steve Corino would become my guy as this year wore on, although he wasn't there yet at this point. (Although I think this was after his promo about Dusty, which was pretty great.)

Raven and Corino's crowd brawl is amusing - sort of felt like a precursor to the kind of brawls Raven would have in the WWF. Otherwise, not much of a match.

That was some of the laziest crowd brawling I've ever seen. I wish the camera had followed Dreamer & Jack Victory instead since it couldn't have been any worse than that. Total throwaway match but I will admit the crowd was into it which is weird since like 90% of them probably couldn't see what was even happening during the crowd brawling.

Nice start to the match as Raven enters via the aisle with Francine and Dreamer comes from the back and attacks Corino and Victory from behind. They quickly pair off and it’s not long before they’re back on the arena floor. The camera follows Raven and Corino as they head to the back of the building and over to the RF video stall (the camera work is appalling at this point). Raven uses some merchandise to attack Corino with (video tape, T-shirts) and this all looks rather lame. They walk around the building and into the bathroom and we’re to believe Raven gives Corino a swirly, but he shuts the toilet door so we don’t see anything. The two of them continue to walk and do little else, finally making it back to ringside. We see Dreamer and Victory again, the latter who is busted open and takes a great head first bump through a table that had been propped up against the guard rail. Raven with a bad looking drop toe hold onto the chair, snot rag, Dreamer with a DDT and they both cover Corino for the win.

Lousy match. The lone highlight was Victory’s bump through the table and it’s a shame Feinstein didn’t stay with him and Dreamer instead of following Corino and Raven around. Absolutely zero brawling between Corino and Raven as they ‘fought’ to the back, they just walked around together. Hated the use of the merchandise as weapons as it made the match feel like some sort of parody, and why go to the bathroom if you’re not at least going to show what you do in there? The camera work was so bad at times that it made this unwatchable.

My first ECW fan-cam.

Almost unwatchable, with the shaky camera and the fact that we know we're only getting half the match (Dreamer and Victory spend long periods of time off-camera). 7 minutes, and that was a challenge to complete.

Important as a historical document, perhaps - I assume the music is all original. I agree that Victory's head-first table bump and Dreamer's pearl harbor match start are the best moments.

Camera gives us a nice shot of Francine's ass as she walks away.
