Ron Simmons vs. Ranger Ross (5/24/89)

Ross has demanded a singles match with Simmons and he comes out firing at the bell with the crowd going nuts for him. Teddy Long appears at ringside as Ross beats Simmons from pillar to post. Ross is full of fire taking it to Simmons who takes a fucking wild bump from the ring to the floor where he almost hit the ringpost face first. Ross doesn't want to pin him he wants to beat the shit out of him and that will cost him in the end. Long ends up handing Simmons a foreign object and he uses it to KO Ross to win the match. Fun segment to get over Simmons as a heel.

Ricky Santana vs. Joe Cruz (5/24/89)

Santana makes his return to the NWA and looks good in this spotlight match.

Next we get the best Brian Pillman video of all and that's the one with Rocket by Def Leppard. Definite extra.

"Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. George South (5/24/89)

Gary Hart & Bob Orton Jr. walk out as the match starts to do commentary and Murdoch is distracted but he still takes care of South easily.

Teddy Long is out next talking about Norman and the ground rules for when Norman shows up. Then we get another video from Norman about why he is the way he is. Extra material.

Then we get a taped match between Ricky Steamboat & Trent Knight. Teddy Long comes out and takes notes on the match also.

Next we get clips of the Roadies/SST feud followed up by a promo from the Roadies who said they aren't scared of anyone especially the SST.

Scott Steiner vs. Trent Knight (5/24/89)

Robin Green has a sign saying I Love Rick Steiner which has Missy laughing and here Alexandria talked to Alex. Scotty has no issues taking out Knight.

The Samoan Swat Team (Fatu & Samu) vs. Joe Cazana & Deke Rivers (5/24/89)

Paul E.'s ode to Don Johnson suit is something else and the SST destroy the East Tennessee jobbers then break a pineapple over their heads after the match.

Terry Funk comes out next talking about Ric Flair is in the building and we get "Rick Flaire" instead....Sting then shows up and gets in Funk's face calling Funk yellow with Funk going to the ring for a wild brawl with Sting. This is a legendary angle and a slam dunk extra.

Kevin Sullivan vs. Tom Pittner (5/24/89)

Sullivan runs in and gets in Robin Green's face which was funny considering they were married and he ripped up her poster. Sullivan then just absolutely destroys Pittner.

Then we get the AWESOME video for Scott Hall set to the James Bond theme....my god was this something. Slam dunk extra.

The Great Muta vs. Steve Casey (5/24/89)

The first cult hero of Center Stage is here and the fans go nuts for him chanting his name as he destroyed Casey. Muta's Moonsault here was wild as he dropped knee first on the ribs.

NWA World Tag Titles Tournament - Quarterfinals: The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. The Raider & "Hacksaw" Butch Reed (5/24/89)

Bob Orton Jr. was supposed to team with Reed but Murdoch came out and pulled Orton down for a wild brawl to the back. Teddy Long comes out and tells Reed that he has a partner for him. The MX come out for their return and the building goes nuts seeing them there. The Raider comes out to take Orton's spot and Cornette calls Teddy "peanuthead" for the first time. MX look great in their return here from almost 2 months.
