Rich is getting ready for Luger and is racking up TV wins easily.Next we get a pretaped promo with Rich about Luger and Rich said that Luger is a musclehead with no brain basically.Flair & Sting are out next for a promo on J-Tex with Flair talking about being the all around cowboy and that he wants the Texas Death matches with Funk all over the country. Sting just screams at random parts."Dangerous" Danny Spivey vs. Rusty Riddle (8/30/89)Spivey just kills this guy then drops him with the Powerbomb to win.Then we get a promo from the Roadies & Ellering about the SST and they want to get rid of them for good at the Clash. The problem with this promo was that it was promoting the Clash being on Tuesday so this aired a week early.The Samoan Swat Team (Fatu & Samu) vs. Bill Ford & Trent Knight (8/30/89)This doesn't even last a minute as the SST destroy these guys.The Steiners along with Robin Green & Missy Hyatt are out next for a promo where Robin thanks Missy & Scott for accepting her into their family. Scott talks about suplexing the Freebirds like crazy and Rick calls them sissies. They also call out the Skyscrapers with Rick calling Teddy a peanuthead cueball. Birds win easily with Garvin dropping Astea with the DDT.World Championship Wrestling 9/9/89The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. Tim Parker & Lee Scott (8/30/89)MX win very easily with Scott taking some hard bumps as usual.Gordon Solie joins Jim Ross next talking about the Flair/Sting/Funk/Muta feud with clips shown. Solie expresses his concern for Flair going into this situation because it may be too dangerous.
