Ron Simmons vs. Rick Ryder (9/14/89)

Ryder jumping Simmons was something as Big Ron made him pay dearly for that one as he just manhandled him. Simmons said that you are looking at the real Ron Simmons not the one from last year then lists why he is so great. Ron showed some great fire in this promo. I dug it.

Next we get clips of the finish of the Freebirds/Steiners match from the Clash.

Scott Steiner vs. Gene Ligon (9/14/89)

Ligon is back from nowhere to get beaten down by Scott. Before the match, Rick holds a boy who was wearing headgear like him. Steiner fell throught the ropes at one point and went right to the floor which played off the Clash finish where he tripped causing him to get pinned. Jim Ross interviews Scott after the match who said that the Freebirds should consider themselves lucky and he will never ever trip again while looking at Robin.

Then we get clips of the finish of Flair/Sting vs. Muta/Slater from the Clash. Jim Ross then reads a letter from Jim Herd about Terry Funk using the plastic bag on Flair to choke him and Herd said that Funk crossed the line so he is suspended indefinitely from the NWA. Funk is pissed because he was injured as Hart tells him that he is also fined $100,000. Hart is highly angry as Funk shows his bad elbow and he said that he isn't paying nothing. This is good stuff and a definite extra.

The Dynamic Dudes (Johnny Ace & Shane Douglas) vs. Agent Steel & Joe Cruz (9/14/89)

The Dudes pick up a good win here and they join Jim Cornette & Ross for a promo after the match where Cornette said that the Dudes asked him to manage them. Cornette said that he only manages the MX but he would be the advisor to the Dudes. Extra material.

The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. Bill Ford & Robbie Idol (9/14/89)

Very easy win for the MX here.

The Z-Man vs. Mike Awesome (9/14/89)

Tom Zenk makes his WCW debut here against Mike Awesome who isn't in Hogan colors here. Z-Man wins with a Sleeper very quickly.

Next we get The Danger Zone where Paul E. talks about how he isn't going anywhere after the SST split from him. Paul E. is great here going off about his issues. Extra material.

"Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Tommy "Wildfire" Rich (9/14/89)

This is a interesting babyface match here and a matchup that didn't happen very often. This was really fun to watch as both men were trying to work clean and did for the most part. Murdoch fucking doing nip ups into a Fujiwara Armbar was great. The match built well to both men finally letting loose with Murdoch's selling being awesome. Rich would get the Figure-Four late in the match but Murdoch would get to the ropes and the last minute both men tried to put the other one away but couldn't do it. The match ends in a draw and both men shake hands after the match. I liked this one a lot and I'm throwing this on the block as a low-end nomination.

Then we get clips of Luger vs. Rich from the Clash and Rich joins Ross for a promo talking about how he wants Luger again and he thinks he can beat him for that US Title. Rich said that he was going to do it for his kids and for his fans.

Next we get clips of Pillman vs. Gilbert from the 9/9 episode of WCW.

Flyin Brian Pillman vs. Bob Cook (9/14/89)

Pillman does the autograph deal again here which was cool. Eddie Gilbert gets in the ring before the match and gets the mic from Rhubarb Jones talking about their match and how it ended which didn't make him happy. Gilbert challenged Pillman for a rematch which Brian accepted. Pillman went on to face Cook winning with a big cross body block off the top rope.

Luger then does a taped promo talking about how he is tired of wrestling minor talents and that he wants Flair or Sting.

The Skyscrapers (Danny Spivey & Sid Vicious) vs. Tim Parker & Luis Astea (9/14/89)

Total destruction of course and Center Stage Cult Hero Sid Vicious is mega over here.

"Dogfaced Gremlin" Rick Steiner vs. Tommy Angel (9/14/89)

Steiner totally manhandles Angel here and then after the match Robin said that she wanted the Steiners to win and she doesn't know why everyone is blaming her. Rick said that they won't be beaten again by the sissies. Rick then said he had a big question for Robin next week.
