Posted July 27, 20169 yr comment_5760864 "Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Tommy "Wildfire" Rich (9/14/89)This is a interesting babyface match here and a matchup that didn't happen very often. This was really fun to watch as both men were trying to work clean and did for the most part. Murdoch fucking doing nip ups into a Fujiwara Armbar was great. The match built well to both men finally letting loose with Murdoch's selling being awesome. Rich would get the Figure-Four late in the match but Murdoch would get to the ropes and the last minute both men tried to put the other one away but couldn't do it. The match ends in a draw and both men shake hands after the match. I liked this one a lot and I'm throwing this on the block as a low-end nomination.

I'm digging Dickie's headlock. Rich using the arm drag. Crowd doesn't know who to cheer. This good solid wrestling. In a different time and different roles, this would be epic. Here it's just a solid wrestling match. Being a babyface match this match lacks a spark. It has its moments though. The atomic drop sell by Dick was great. I'm going no on a nomination.
