This starts with a taped promo from a pissed off Gary Hart who has to be in a cage above the ring during Sting vs. Muta at the Omni on 10/8.

Lex Luger then joins Jim Ross next for a promo talking about Brian Pillman accepting his challenge for a shot at the US Title. Pillman then shows up and wants to know if Luger will accept his challenge or not. Luger then patronizes him in a big way saying that he doesn't think Pillman is ready for him which Pillman said there is a way to find out. Luger then agreed so Pillman wanted a match that night on the show with the fans going nuts. Luger then lets him have the match. This is a fun segment. Extra material.

Another good TV win for Rich.

The Dynamic Dudes (Johnny Ace & Shane Douglas) vs. Tommy Angel & Gene Ligon (9/20/89)

Cornette leads the Dudes to victory here as they are on a roll heading to their NWA World Tag Titles match at Halloween Havoc.

The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. Agent Steel & Cruel Connection (George South) (9/20/89)

Cornette back out with his main team the MX and they look totally dominant possibly for a reason. Cornette & MX then join Ross after the match where Lane asks Cornette why the Dudes have their title shot so Cornette tells them that the Birds have blocked all the efforts for a MX title match. Cornette wants to make sure who he is managing and who he is advising. Extra material.

Norman the Lunatic vs. Greg Evans (9/20/89)

A kid gives Norman a teddy bear as he goes to the ring so Teddy chews him out and tells him to get in the ring. Norman then proceeds to totally squash Evans. Long kicks the bear at one point to piss Norman off. Cornette on commentary talks about Stan Lane & Johnny Ace have a personal conflict going back to their days in Florida.

Next we get another taped promo from Woman about the Steiners facing their Doom at Halloween Havoc and she pokes fun at Rick.

"Dogfaced Gremlin" Rick Steiner vs. Bill Ford (9/20/89)

Rick just mauls Ford here before finishing him off with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex. Steiners & Missy join Ross after the match talking about Woman and both Steiners are highly pissed.

Luger is back out with Ross and said that he got caught up in the moment and that he had already made a commitment to Richard Sartain for a match first. Luger said that he can't wrestle Pillman later on. Extra material.

Ranger Ross vs. Cuban Assassin (9/20/89)

This was a pretty decent back and forth match here with both guys working hard. Ranger missed the Combat Kick but came back with a sunset flip to get the win. Cuban then attacked Ross after the match with the Cuban flagpole and waved the flag in the air over his body.

Then we get a taped promo from Michael Hayes about the Dynamic Dudes and Halloween Havoc where he quotes Marvin Gaye & The Rolling Stones. Hayes then said they have no chance of beating the Birds.

Next we get clips of Spivey vs. Murdoch from last week.

The Skyscrapers (Danny Spivey & Sid Vicious) vs. Tim Parker & Rick Ryder (9/20/89)

Total destruction.

Ross interviews Cornette & the Dudes next where Ace thanked the fans for welcoming them back from his injury and then Shane thanked Cornette for being their adviser as he will lead them to victory for the NWA World Tag Titles.

The Z-Man vs. Bob Cook (9/20/89)

Z-Man continues to get put over strong on TV using his Sleeper hold.

"Total Package" Lex Luger vs. Richard Sartain (9/20/89)

Luger comes out very cocky and confident before Pillman shows up and he talks to Sartain telling him to leave. Pillman then said if Luger was half the man he said he was he would face him which he did. Luger attacks Pillman as he gets in the ring but Pillman would make a comeback and he had Luger reeling when Luger decided to tuck tail and run out. This was a very effective segment in getting Pillman over. Extra material.

Then we get clips of the Flair/Funk feud from the last month followed up by a taped promo from Funk which was awesome and a live promo from Flair where the words ass and god were censored for some reason. Flair was great here talking about facing Funk in the I Quit match and how great the NWA is. Extra material.

Next we get Ross joined by Paul Ellering & Teddy Long talking about signing the contracts for the Roadies to face the Skyscrapers at Halloween Havoc. Long calls them the Road Runners and he's not worried about them. Precious Paul said that his money is on his boys.

Road Warrior Animal vs. Trent Knight (9/20/89)

Animal destroys Knight in less than a minute and he joins Ellering with Ross after the match talking about how Hawk is in training right now. Ellering said that the Skyscrapers will fall.
