Posted January 4, 200619 yr comment_4252945 Maybe I'm spoiled by goodhelmet being so fast with delivery, but this seems a little ridiculous to me. Maybe I'm wrong though, someone enlighten me. Placed one order for 73 DVDs on 12/01. Order was shipped today. Placed one order for 75 DVDs on 12/15. Order has not been started yet, and will be "handled in the order received". I'm treated like a nuisance when I ask for status updates and I'm given no specifics. Placed one order for 119 VHS tapes (his copies -- no dubbing required) 10 days ago and the tapes have not yet been sent. Am I expecting things too quickly because goodhelmet can turnaround stuff so quickly or is this just what I should learn to expect when I buy stuff?

Placed one order for 119 VHS tapes (his copies -- no dubbing required) 10 days ago and the tapes have not yet been sent. --- Depends on a couple of factors. If you paid for them then money should not be an issue. If it is somene sending their stuff to get it converted then it might cost quite a bit to send 100+ tapes in the mail. ---- The biggest problem you will run into when buying is buying from guys who get in over their head. They like the money but don't like the work involved... or at least don't treat the work with the highest priority. THere is a reason I have not shilled alot yet. I do not know if I can produce things fast enough to handle multiple shills. It was also a reason I would get frustrated when I would ask people to send who would tell me one thing and then send at another time. Often times, if I am converting, I am doing it on a schedule so I can convert a box of Ginnetty's tapes, turn around to convert Bruiser's CHVs and then hit up odds and ends here from Mort and formerly Tim. When someone did not send when they said they would, it would mess up my whole schedule. Once I shill my Hart Foundation set, I should have enough cash to purchase a 3-1 burner. Once I do that, I think I will shill more often.

I had unforeseen circumstances that put me behind in trades with a few of you guys here. However, I tried to keep people updated. To me, that's where the problem is ... not letting me know if there's a problem.
January 4, 200619 yr comment_4253232 He did send Priority. He was also the only one of the three who kept me updated on everything the entire time. (romdam) He probably ended up shilling too much trying to pick up some Xmas money. Once he felt he had enough, he fell behind and he also probably took a few days off for the holidays as well. At least he kept you up to date on the situation. NLWrestling Never heard of him. What is his rep at Crazy Max? I paid $200, but $27 shipping and handling, as he requested. All by PayPal, all that day. He is selling it to me. These should have been out to you already then. This is unacceptable.
January 5, 200619 yr comment_4254083 NLWrestling seems to have a good rep, dude probably overshilled for the holidays like Will said.
January 5, 200619 yr comment_4256090 I did that a few times when I first started shilling, when I'd have a stack of orders and my DVD drive on the PC would pack in. With the duplicator, though, things are nice and quick- I can compress originals with the PC, or copy discs with occasional corrupted sectors, and the rest get burned double-quick with the duplicator. Good-sized order, though. Re: shilling nowadays, there are people who seem to be in some sort of price war. Ask yourself Goodhelmet if you can be bothered to shill when you're making about 50 cents profit per disc, to copy things for people you've never met.
January 5, 200619 yr comment_4256663 What do you mean Mort? For myself, I don't shill on a large scale because i don't want to be one of these guys backed up 2-3 weeks. Hell, I get backed up just trading with 3 people. In terms of profit, that isn't really my goal. I just want to recoup some cash so I can get one of those duplicators to make bulk buys easier and a new VCR to help Dan convert some of his rare tapes. To be honest, it is more about acquiring footage than making a buck in my game.
January 5, 200619 yr comment_4256890 I mean with shilling, some people are doing 10 for $20 offers, that sort of thing. Factor in all the time and effort spent, as well as the cost of the discs themselves, and you're not making much profit. Which is why unless I have something reasonably rare, I don't bother shilling on CrazyMax any more. Someone asked me for a price on some stuff, then said "can you drop your prices? Someone on here was selling X discs for price Y". So really, considering they're copies for people I don't know and I'm making next to nothing on them, I haven't bothered. But definitely get a duplicator, they're great.
January 5, 200619 yr comment_4257018 OH! I agree 100% That is why I think I will probably shill things I have in bulk. THat way, I can make a profit on discs that I have no use for anymore.

February 1, 200619 yr Author comment_4425886 Thanks, Sek. Would you mind editing your post to take out my name? I know it doesn't really matter, but I'm weird about that. Thanks.
February 1, 200619 yr Author comment_4428987 Nice. I needed that in the middle of this 14-hour shift. I swear, all I seem to do anymore is work and post at NMB.
February 1, 200619 yr comment_4429002 You are more like the guy in the back who leaks info to the dirt sheets.
