August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762404 M-Pro needs all juniors. NJPW is big on Jrs. FMW had a Jrs division, but never focused on them, so I may have to just cut my loses and ignore them. UWFi had Sano as a centerpiece. AJPW had Jrs but never did much with them, so they may cut their loses too. It will be interesting, juniors are a big wild card in Japan. Especially if WCW wants to go with cruiserweights six months early too.
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762405 Can't forget about ECW as well. While they didn't mainly focus on junior heavyweights, they featured several of them in that timeframe.
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762406 UWFi didn't have a juniors title but with Tamura & Sakuraba both able to fight bigger guys at under 200lbs, I may not actually have to steal too many juniors. I mean, I'm UWFi, so junior fans don't have to worry about me grabbing Eddy or Ultimo Dragon or anything like that.
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762408 It's not really about UWFi that I'm worried about for the junior heavyweights!
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762413 I'm just hoping I can get enough little fast skillful guys on the M-Pro roster to run an epic ten-man tag match on the Anniversary Show.
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762415 I am having way too much fun with this literally yelling at my computer screen at LowBlowPodcast to "DON'T DRAFT WRESTLER X! COME ON BABY!"
August 10, 20169 yr Author comment_5762418 I wrote the pic 3 times before deciding... FUCCCCKKK! Jun Akiyama is legit though...
August 10, 20169 yr Author comment_5762419 Is there any chance in the world that WCW doesn't pick up Bret Hart and do him justice? I am 2 for 2 on the picks so far... would have never picked my own so 2/3 is good but I am thinking Bret goes to WCW... but does Owen follow?!?!
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762421 You can't argue with starting off Misawa/Kawada/Kobashi/Taue/Akiyama.
August 10, 20169 yr Author comment_5762423 For sure... they are pillars to build off of and I think there is one more piece to the puzzle that will really put things into full effect..
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762426 And it is guaranteed to be the guy I want. I already know it. There are 4 guys I have my eye on with my first pick but only one that I REALLY want and I'm certain he won't be there. "Uh yes, Mr Baba, this is Nobuhiko Takada. How many jobs to Misawa would it take for a pick swap?"
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762434 So with the realignment of tiers it's blown a lot of my picks away, time to get really creative in Delaware...
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762440 I'll just assume it has. I agree, round one has really kicked this thing off well.
August 10, 20169 yr comment_5762442 The Austin thing seems like way too much foresight to me. Even AFTER his ECW run, he was brought in to WWF to be a mechanic in a gimmick they had come up with independent of him.

August 10, 20169 yr Author comment_5762449 I know I poked out getting Owen to go with Bret, but Luger makes a lot of sense. This WCW roster is becoming something to behold if it continues at this pace. I am interested to see what happens with the 2nd round and how some of those A/Bs will be picked and possibly go to smaller promotions than they were. I envision the WWF and WCW getting raided but creating some new stars out of all of it.

It's not what you are doing with him, it's the fact Steve Austin would be such a high pick in September 1995. Nobody would pick him that high, especially with such talent on the board. Whatever you do with him though, remember he is injured and can't wrestle till sometime in November.

See, picking Austin is like taking a player in a draft a little high. You know that he's a sure thing, but not polished yet. Within a little while, he's the superstar you know he was going to be. This is suppose to be about building and what better building block there is on the board then Austin?
