Ricky Santana v. Mr. Pogo (9/10/88)

This was a very solid undercard feud match. Santana opens hot, Pogo cuts him off and works him over until Santana can find an opening then its back and forth down the stretch. They don’t do anything super complicated as this is mostly punches, kicks, chops, and a few bodyslams/vertical suplexes but its all good. Santana’s comeback is awesome especially the spot where he’s slamming Pogo’s head against the mat. This isn’t going to blow your mind but its fine. Big reaction for the finish. Post match stuff is intense.

I like them putting over the cobra clutch as such a big deal. Santana slamming Pogo's head against the mat as a revenge spot was great.
