July 23, 20205 yr comment_5923809 Saw this on Twitter and it made me think of good bubba @KawadaSmile
July 25, 20205 yr comment_5924116 Who was under the mask of The Texas Long Rider in Texas All-Star Wrestling?
July 26, 20205 yr comment_5924146 How did the WWE land on a Peter Gabriel song for the Wrestlemania 22 theme?
July 26, 20205 yr comment_5924195 Anyone ever bought wrestling tshirts off redbubble? They've got some fun looking ones for Kawada and wrestlers you can't find elsewhere, though obviously far from official. Curious as to the quality and sizing. Are these going to ruin the rest of my laundry or is it a decent shirt? Never bought off here or PWTees for that matter so don't know what to expect from such outlets.
July 26, 20205 yr comment_5924198 Can't tell you about Redbubble, but everything I've ever gotten from PWTees has been good quality. Once in a blue moon they will run a little on the small side, but otherwise they are quality shirts.

July 27, 20205 yr comment_5924211 So I'm a little embarrassed to admit that until Bruce Mitchell had his little Twitter outburst about it I never made the connection that Keith Lee's finish was named the BBC. I was stuck on what a stupid name "Big Bang Catastrophe" is that my brain never took the next step to look at the initials.
July 27, 20205 yr comment_5924221 Wasn't it just the Catastrophe? Must have missed the Big Bang part. Also, I saw some episodes of "Home Game" on Netflix, and I gotta love how Edingwe, from the Congo pro wrestling episode, manages to have some scary shit with a low budget, while a billionaire company can't afford to have a convincing eye for the match they put together.

If it makes you feel better, I didn't get the Lil' Spike Dudley joke for YEARS.

July 27, 20205 yr comment_5924236 It took me until about 4 years ago to piece together Bret Hart calls it the “Sharpshooter” because he’s “The Hitman” I felt profoundly stupid

I always thought it was a reference to Calgary's Old West cowboy roots/identity

July 27, 20205 yr comment_5924246 I don't blame you guys. I mean, it took me like 24 years to understand the pun in Paul Bearer's name. (Granted, pallbearer isn't exactly a common word and I never saw it being spoken or written before the explanation)

Because even on urbandictionary you have to go to the end of page two until you find a fitting result.

It's a pretty common one in the adult industry, and also common for folks seeking out a particular style of said content.

So, is Vince Russo booking WWE again ? I mean, a sexually racist acronym, that's everything Russo loves. And really people ? LSD ? Hitman ? Paul Bearer ? Hope you guessed why Henry O. Godwinn was named that way...

July 27, 20205 yr comment_5924275 Yeah that was kind of what caused the fuss on Twitter, Bruce's intentions were probably in the right place but he came off as an old dude whitesplaining to Keith Lee about what is racist. Like he obviously named the move himself and most likely did it to "take the piss" like the Brits say, he doesn't need to be lectured about it.

Or because he's an idiot. If some black dude would lecture him about it, Black Thought style, no one would bitch about it. That's called double standard. For instance, Awesome Kong did not *choose"* that racist name when she went to Japan. She was named that way in reference to Aja (who herself got a racist name because she was half-black), but she embraced it and made it het own. Keith Lee naming his finisher BBC in reference to a racist porn trope "may be" him taking a piss (why not), it may also him be a dumb fuck who thinks it's funny ah ah ah, like Russo would.
July 27, 20205 yr comment_5924281 If Black Thought was the one who did it, it wouldn't be a double standard as much as a dude of the same race trying to point something out. "White person attempts to educate black person on race" is never going to go well no matter what because of the dynamics in play. Calling it a double standard is some "why can't white folks use the n-word" shit. When there's a disparity in power/privileged/etc, someone of the race that has the privilege should know when to STFU and that was one of those times. Plus there's no evidence Keith Lee is an idiot, if anything it's quite the contrary. I would wager it was probably done since it's the obvious joke considering he's a large black man and it's his way of beating people to the punch and making it first. To be fair we are talking about professional wrestlers so one cannot completely dismiss the possibility that someone is an idiot, it just doesn't seem to be the case here.
