August 5, 20205 yr comment_5925218 The police is investigating Jannetty's claims. He worked himself into a shoot. Maybe in more ways than one.
August 5, 20205 yr comment_5925232 I don't see why this story is turning into such a big deal. Marty Jannetty was actually trending on Twitter today because of this supposed story. I mean, who here among us can honestly say that in their youth, they didn't "make somebody disappear" after a drug deal went horribly wrong? It's all part of growing up and being a kid.

August 5, 20205 yr comment_5925240 Amazing that he could make a post with such blatant homophobia and racism, but somehow mentioning that part would be burying the lede in a big way.

LOL love this!!! Especially as I'm always the first person to be like "well kids do make mistakes" when somebody gets in trouble for something they did 20 plus years ago.

That’s weird, I haven’t had any trouble at all. Maybe the board is becoming self-aware, like Skynet...and is trying to keep Mauro Ranallo fans from accessing the forum.

Ironically, if Mauro Ranallo posted here, that's exactly the kind of pop culture reference he'd make.
August 6, 20205 yr comment_5925317 Anyone want to start a betting pool on the odds for this Marty Jannetty thing not resulting in him getting booked/arrested for the murder that the cops think he might have committed but because he's Marty Jannetty they end up solving a whole bunch of OTHER unsolved murders?

The biggest crime bust since Steve Sax.
August 7, 20205 yr comment_5925418 So he killed his drug dealer but did not tell his brother about it because he thought his brother might....kill the dealer? And he weaves this into a story of how a girl possibly hurt him? What?

August 8, 20205 yr comment_5925481 The BonerYard match from Talkn'Shop'AMania was yet another amazing WTF moment of 2020. It included among other insanity NZO taking a bump on the Rock'n'Roll Express gimmick table, Chavo Guerrero chasing Chico El Luchador to murder him, appearances by Brian Myers, Heath, the Bennett couple (IMPACT should sign them, really) and Swinger. The "flashback" segment with the Young Bucks was an apex of making fun of yourselves, as Doc & Anderson agree to sign with AEW, but then mark out when they receive a text message from Trip so they decide to re-sign with NY. So the Young Bucks superkick them and Matt goes "I bet they'll end up in TNA anyway", while Anderson is moaning "Nooooo, not TNA !!!!". The most amazing thing maybe is that Doc & Anderson where actually part of the actual Boneyard match just a few months ago, it's like some legit Hollywood actors showing up in a porn parody of their own movie.
August 8, 20205 yr comment_5925507 Has G+ started airing older AJPW Budokan Hall shows? Today, on well known wrestling trackers, two Budokan Hall shows popped with with G+ as source, one being the one with Misawa's first triple crown title defence against Kawada (10/21/92) and I doubt that this show was around in full before. I mean the card does not look really good besides the main event and two mid card tag team matches, but still.
August 9, 20205 yr comment_5925542 Anyone know what happened with Jim Duggan in 96/97? He disappears from wcw tv sometime in late 96 and doesn't return until sometime in 98 I believe (when he announced his illness). Was this like Madusa during the same time frame where he was still under contract but was paid to stay home because they had nothing for him? I ask because apparently Heyman tried to get him to appear at Hardcore Heaven 97. I would assume in the spot Jake Roberts eventually had
August 9, 20205 yr comment_5925543 I just assumed he had one of those WCW deals where they would just forget they signed someone and he just sat at home cashing checks.
August 9, 20205 yr comment_5925554 Jim Duggan started wearing purple and yellow gear around that time as they were WCW colours. Replaced the American flag for a WCW one too.
August 9, 20205 yr comment_5925556 Seems like he mostly just worked the Disney tapings. https://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=1107&page=4&year=1997&promotion=2

Wasn't he on AEW Dark 205 Live WCW Saturday Night wrestling jobbers with the TV Title he found out of a trash can, or was that after '98?

Not sure what's been on recently, but everything listed for the rest of August and September is 70s/80s. https://www.ntv.co.jp/G/prowrestling/classic/
August 11, 20205 yr comment_5925698 G+ has been airing full 90's AJPW/2000's NOAH cards for a while now. Recently they also aired the full 7/93 Budokan, which is the first time we've gotten the Hansen/Kobashi match in good quality and I think also the first time the Destroyer retirement has been shown in full. Here's the listing for what's in the pipeline (includes some repeats of older airings) https://www.ntv.co.jp/G/prowrestling/memories/
