I was really pleasantly surprised with this. Sasuke comes in with a lot of fire from the get go and that really forces TM to bring more intensity than I generally expect from him. The back and forth tonal shifts of this match fit in and the big dives looked dangerous and brutal to take. After some big dives the finale of the match is a big slugfest and Tiger Mask looking for the Tiger suplex before Sasuke is able to lock in a great choke forcing TM to tap out. This is probably the best TM singles match I can recall seeing at this point and time. ***3/4

I really liked how this progressed, coming roaring out of the gate before settling into something more calm and then roaring again. This was a pretty desperate-feeling match as a result with both guys throwing it all at each other. The atypical layout made this match feel bigger than it was, and the frantic nature of the selling got everything over as something particularly damaging while also making this a match with high stakes. ****

Sasuke had a great beginning to the match with a lot of fire and speed. A lot of this match felt weird to me, as I couldn't tell what was done on purpose or was a mistake. When Sasuke drops Tiger Mask, was Tiger Mask sandbagging or was he just escaping? When Sasuke almost falls off the turnbuckle, was he selling or was he legitimately slipping? No matter which, the match was compelling throughout. Good match.

This was a very different match than what I was expecting between these two. It started out fast, but then became gritty and uncooperative. Interesting to watch here and these guys pulled it off to make it entertaining. I'm not entirely sure if they were trying to cover up botches or if they were just trying to work a more realistic and stiff style. Either way, they pulled it off and put on a very good match. ***3/4

This was all right. I appreciated the strategy Tiger Mask used to grind Sasuke down but it was boring to watch and the botch off the facelock killed most of his momentum. I did like how Sasuke responded with the palm strikes and kicks and the choke submission. I suppose it was an interesting alternative to be nearfall happy or garbage happy, as was the trend at the time.
