13 matches! WOW! That's most 80s thing they have done in forever.

Those 80ies shows did not go 7 hours (even thought some of them felt like that).

 

I might watch a bit of the pre-show before I go to bed and the rest tomorrow and Tuesday evening after work. Though I will skip one or two matches (there is no way I will watch another Randy Orton match in my life, let alone against Bray Wyatt, Triple H vs. Rollins is also very high on my personal "will likely avoid"-list, as are post 2013 Chris Jericho single matches).

I'm excited for the show but there's nothing I really want to see. I really do think Golberg/Brock could be good if they do a short hoss matchup with juice and lots of MMA.

I am going to watch the show live, but my expectations are very low based on the card and quality of the buildup over the past few months on Raw and SD. I just don't get some of the booking decisions they have been making. I can see their point with the whole Lesnar/Goldberg feud, even if I don't personally agree with it. But wasting AJ Styles in a match with Shane McMahon, the ridiculous buildup to Orton/Wyatt, and the fact that guys like Joe and Harper aren't on the show, and Stroman (who they've been pushing like mad) is all the sudden in a Battle Royal on the pre-show...the decisions this company makes just make no sense to me at all.

I know El-Ps disdain for the show was a theme in an earlier thread. Let's not have that here. This is a thread for predictions and actual show reactions.

Should be a fun, if long night. Expecting a lot of LOLWTF moments from a booking standpoint and the ladder match to be an all time worst cluster fuck.

I'm excited for it but mostly for two or three main matches which will be on at stupid o'clock UK time so I don't know if I'll make it all the way. Last year was a hell of a struggle.

I remember excitedly thinking the long show was finally nearing the end last year, only to realize the two things left were a Rock promo and a HHH main event.

WM is always exciting to me because I get to see exactly how out-of-touch Vince and company is and how tone-deaf and overly hammy the entire product is overall. Seeing the reactions to the booking decisions of:

 

Styles losing his first Mania match.

 

Sting losing his first Mania match and being ASSISTED by his long time enemies because of REASONS~!

 

HHH going over Lesnar.

 

Daniel Bryan losing in the opener of Mania in 18 seconds.

 

etc.

That Rock promo was hilariously self indulgent. How do you top the great segment with Ronda/HHH/Steph the year before? Why, using a flamethrower to set your name on fire, of course.

 

 

I didn't mind the NWO helping Stang because 1. It was awesome and 2. Sting had made up with Nash and Hogan multiple times before WCW died. And then again in TNA.

Just rewatched Brock vs. Roman as its my favorite Mania match from recent years. Seth Rollins looked so great then. Not anymore. Still an incredible match 2 years and repeated viewings later.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that little piece! For some reason (for the last 4 years at least), WWE decides to run a segment that is more than 100% self-indulgent and is designed to kill time before the main match(es). What makes it even more wonky is the fact that it doesn't need to be there or if it 'must' then it can be much much shorter. I have said this before and I will say it again--if "Goosebumps" Rock shows up-- I am checking out for the night. I don't mind regular Rock, but "Goosebumps" Rock is the pits.
