Posted April 9, 20178 yr comment_5796358 Ok this doesn’t look as depressing as the first round of the J Cup at least. Onryo attacks before the bell and really takes it to CIMA. This kind of reminded me of the first round matches and was a fun sprint. CIMA has went from someone that probably was an underdog coming in to now being a favorite in this particular match and having to hang on from being upset. CIMA survives the onslaught and is able to advance with the frog splash. Fun start. **1/2
April 10, 20178 yr comment_5796436 Fun start to this. Onryo is way too much of a gimmick to have a super match from what I've picked up so far, but I think given the time and that gimmick, this was about as good as it could possibly be.
August 14, 20178 yr comment_5810633 On the plus side this has a zombie wrestling. On the minus side this has a zombie selling a low blow and using a Tiger Driver 91 that was kicked out about halfway into the match (a 1/4 final at that).
August 18, 20178 yr comment_5810986 Zombie dude hiding under the ring reminded me of the antics of Great Muta. Both of them falling for the sleeper trick was fine for a comedy match, but the Tiger Driver kickout was total overkill.
December 23, 20177 yr comment_5825139 Onryo is one of those indy sleaze guys. He was a former backyarder similar to Survival Tobita who eventually made his way to the bigger Japanese indys like FMW and BJW, but he never became a main eventer. His gimmick is that he's a ghost... This match was way better than it had any right to be... At this point CIMA was making a name for himself as one of the aces of Toryumon and Onryo was already making rounds to FMW, however he was never seen as more than a mid carder at best, so that's why the false finish got such a big pop. The match itself was a spotty, 5 minute Jr.'s match where they focused on getting all of their stuff in in as little time as possible.
