Posted April 12, 20178 yr comment_5796943 Always up for another dose of Crazy Max running through some punks. This match essentially has Tiger Mask IV in the Magnum Tokyo role being paired with CIMA. This match has a bit of a unique structure in that it starts really traditional with Dragon Kid being the FIP and then once the hot tag gets made, the match breaks down and the brawling results around the building. I believe we even get Susumu and Kanda at one point coming out to interfere on SUWA. Mochi and CIMA have a hot sequence which gives way to Fuji vs TM which is equally as fun. The match ending with Dragon Kid and SUWA was initially disappointing because DG was as sloppy here as he had been since that awful January match. He does however stick the landing and it is clear that of the face side, he is getting some of the bigger wins so far. ***1/2
May 6, 20178 yr comment_5799448 Looks like less than six minutes of this 19 minute match was taken out of the beginning. Tiger Mask looked good once again. The CIMA-Mochizuki exchanges were the best part of this. These guys at this point probably do the best hot finishing stretches in wrestling. ***1/2
September 3, 20178 yr comment_5812908 Dragon Kid and Tiger Mask were both a bit sloppy in the early stages of the match. Crazy Max's double teams were the best part of the match for me. The problem with these Toryumon matches is they are starting to blend together, even when the opponents differ. Average match.
December 24, 20177 yr comment_5825186 Tiger Mask swaps places with Magnum TOKYO and he grabs some retro gear from Sayama’s days as TM. CIMA and SUWA were coming in hot from the Super J Cup where CIMA turned into a star making it to the finals and SUWA was the best heel in the multi man match. Unfortunately CIMA didn’t come across as a star here and SUWA didn’t work anywhere to the level of that Super J Cup in this match. As for the match itself, I’m torn on it... It felt more as a standard house show match than anything. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that great either, I wouldn’t say it was as good as some of their other multi man matches imo. We don’t get the great Crazy MAX interferences we got in the other multi man matches, so it lacks that. Instead we get a run in from Susumu and Kanda which isn’t as good as they attack SUWA. The finishing stretch wasn’t as hot and good as theother multi man matches either. Not a bad match by any chance, but not as good as any of their other matches either.
