February 6, 200619 yr comment_4459551 There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. I also feel like the officiating was piss-poor and ultimatley took away any competitivness this game may have had. Pittsburgh played piss poorly, save two ginormous touchdown plays. Think about this: Seattle outgained Pittsburgh, won the turnover battle and had the ball longer...and still LOST! That almost never happens. The Steelers were a team of destiny.
February 6, 200619 yr comment_4459992 The game was really boring. After the first quarter, it looked like Seattle was going to control the tempo of the game. The Steelers changed that in the second half. Cower probably actually came up with a game plan for the second half. The first half, Pitt just looked lost. Like they were caught up in all the hoopla surrounding the game instead of the game itself. The Bus got his ring. He went to Notre Dame. I'm happy. Anyway, congrats to the Steelers, Sek and the rest of their fans. That makes five. Sek, new avatar. Do it. Do it.
February 9, 200619 yr comment_4475538 An interesting side note, the ratings this year for the Super Bowl were the highest in 10 years, which also was the last time the Steelers were in it. Obviously Steelers = ratings.
February 9, 200619 yr comment_4475578 BTW, NFL hasta do something about officiating in the playoffs, because shit. The NHL does a better job with it and lets a ton of shit fly (except the ones that should be called). I didn't mean to bring up an NHL / NFL comparison, I'm not trying, just saying that you've got problems when the fourth (perhaps even fifth) rated sports in US does better, its not good. Congrats to the Steelers for winning. And for any Seahawks fans, sorry, but dammit. Get over it. I watched it and you guys BLEW it. Period. Refs or not, you don't just give up. Did the Steelers do that when the refs did the same shit job in Indy? No.
