Posted February 6, 200619 yr comment_4460463 I'll admit, I'll buy an RPG, play most of it and never finish it. It's sad but I think the only RPGS I have ever finished are the original Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X. I enjoyed the hell out of Breath of Fire 2 as well but never finished it. I still have my save point on the computer. I have never played Chrono Trigger which I still need to pick up. I have Dark Cloud 2 but I don't know if you could call it an RPG. Final Fantasy VIII and X-2 were ok but I got bored of both of them for different reasons and got rid of them. So, recommend some RPGs that I won't feel the need to stop mid-game and forget about. How many RPGs have you completed all the way through? Maybe you'll mention an RPG that I have played but did not consider an RPG. If so, then we can debate the merits of what makes a game an RPG.

February 6, 200619 yr comment_4460643 Hm... What RPGs have I beaten? That's a fun one. Alundra Alundra 2 Arc The Lad Arc The Lad 2 Arc The Lad 3 Arc The Lad: Twilight of Spirits Atelier Iris ~Eternal Mana~ (I need to finish the baddie) Bahamut Lagoon Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate II Brave Fencer Musashi Breath of Fire Breath of Fire II Breath of Fire III Breath of Fire IV Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2 Chrono Cross Chrono Trigger Crystalis Dark Cloud Diablo Diablo II Disgaea: Hour of Darkness Dragon Warrior I Dragon Warrior II Dragon Warrior III Dragon Warrior VIII Dungeon Siege Final Fantasy I Final Fantasy IV Final Fantasy V Final Fantasy VI Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy VIII Final Fantasy IX Final Fantasy X Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest Final Fantasy Adventure Final Fantasy Legend Final Fantasy Legend 2 Final Fantasy Legend 3 Final Fantasy Tactics Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones Fire Emblem: The Sealed Sword Golden Sun Golden Sun: The Lost Age Grandia Grandia 2 Grandia Xtreme Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth Icewind Dale Icewind Dale II Illusion of Gaia Jade Cacoon Kartia: The Word of Fate Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories La Pucelle Land Stalker Legaia: Duel Saga Legend of Dragoon Legend of Legaia Legend of Mana Lufia & The Fortress of Doom Lufia II: Rise of The Sinistrals Lufia: The Legend Returns Lufia: The Ruins of Lore Lunar: The Silver Star Story Lunar: Eternal Blue Neverwinter Nights Ogre Battle Paladin's Quest Parasite Eve Phantasy Star Phantasy Star II Phantasy Star III Phantasy Star IV Phantom Brave Radiata Stories Rhapsody Riviera: The Promised Land Robotrek SaGa Frontier SaGa Frontier 2 Sayuki: The Journey West Secret of Evermore Secret of Mana Shadow Madness Shining Force Shining Force II Shining Soul Shining Soul II Shining Tears Skies of Arcadia Star Ocean: The Second Story Suikoden Suikoden II Suikoden III Sword of Mana Tactics Ogre Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis Tales of Destiny Tales of Eterina (known in NA as Tales of Destiny II) Tales of Legendia Tales of Phantasia Tales of Symphonia (I want this game back) Thousand Arms Threads of Fate Wild Arms Wild Arms II Wild Arms III Wild Arms IV Vagrant Story Valkyrie Profile Not sure how many games that is, but that's all the ones I've beaten, not including ROM'd games or translated games. Ok, I know Tales of Phantasia counts as one that isn't done yet, but I figure since its coming over anyways on March 6th, I can classify it here. There might be some I'm missing but this will suffice for now. Pick a game and I'll give you what I feel on it. If you are wondering about something that isn't on the list, give me a shout because if its an RPG, the odds of me not playing it are very, very, very low.
February 6, 200619 yr comment_4462233 Off the top of my head: Dragon Warrior Dragon Warrior 4 Final Fantasy Legend Final Fantasy Legend 2 Final Fantasy Tactics Parasite Eve Phantasy Star 1 Quest For Glory 1: So You Want To Be A Hero (Hero Quest) Quest For Glory 2: Trial By Fire Quest For Glory 3: Wages Of War Quest For Glory 4: Shadows Of Darkness Quest For Glory 5 Shining Force 1 Suikoden 1 Tunnels Of Doom (old TI-99 computer dungeon-crawling RPG) WILD Arms 1 I own or have started quite a few others (Phantasy Star 2, Shining Force 2, Final Fantasy 1, Final Fantasy 2 (US), Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 10, Dragon Warrior 2, Dragon Warrior 3, Persona 1, Persona 2, Suikoden 2, Suikoden 3, Suikoden 4, Fire Emblem, Alundra, etc.) but I haven't had the time (or inclination) to play through one of these often over the last few years. The only real exception was Dragon Warrior 4, which I played because I had gotten my NES emulation to work correctly on the PSP, complete with "Save State" function, which allowed me to save when *I* wanted, not when the computer would let me.

February 7, 200619 yr comment_4466776 I have a tendency with games like this to come unstuck with one of the final bosses and give up. That's what happened recently with Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts.
February 17, 200619 yr comment_4528993 You know, I'm kinda amazed at my list really. Considering I haven't listed all the games I've beaten or even played, that's a lot of gaming time that I've put in.
February 17, 200619 yr comment_4529928 Let's see: Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy VIII Final Fantasy IX Final Fantasy X Chrono Trigger Chrono Cross Phantasy Star IV Parasite Eve Zelda: A Link to the Past Super Mario RPG
