I don't have one yet. It should be here this week.

However, I did alot of research and asked around as well. I picked up a 1:2 burner because i was the only one I could afford. I talked to Dan and he picked up the following as well but with a 250G HD to store his most burned discs. KZ is the one who suggested the following to me....

Now, the key is do you plan on doing mass duplicating? If you are running alot of bulks like I am known to do, or someone like Ace who runs super bulks then you want multiple burning drives, at least a 1:2 ratio. Now, according to KZ, I can just pop the "master" disc into the top drive, put 2 blanks in the bottom drives and they will burn within 5 minutes if you are using 16x media. If you are using 8x media or lower, obviously it will take longer. Still, 16x discs are just about as cheap as 8x media these days (well under 50 cents a disc). If you get a hard drive, it really depends if you have something you want to store that you don't have to keep popping in the disc everytime you burn. Convenient but not mandatory.

KZ called the above burner the cadillac of duplicators and he burns more than anyone I know. I picked up the 3 year warranty to be safe so you may want to consider that option as well.

I just hooked up two slave drives to the master D: and I can get two copies on the computer in a little under fourteen minutes. The advantage is that unlike just ripping and then burning, everything is done in one run without having to switch discs in and out, and nothing is stored on the computer unless you chose to do so, and it's relatively cheaper.

Mine has saved me so much time and annoyance- the PC is free to shrink commercial DVDs and I can play World of Warcraft while burning burning burning. Fuck yeah!
