I tried the demo years ago and was somewhat non-plussed - X-Com without the Lovecraftian alien design and paranoia just ain't the same - but I may pick it up again for a test-spin. Rise of the Kasai (PS2) Hey, look - it's the prequel to The Mark of Kri! I can't vouch for this one, but the original Mark of Kri was a hilariously violent game with an interesting control scheme - one of my stoner buddies from high school loved just going 'round and beating the hell out of stuff in that game. This looks like more of the same. Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga (PS2) What's with the sudden surge of SMT games, and why didn't it come out years ago when there were actual interesting games (Soul Hackers, anyone?) to port over? As for DDS, here's the amazon.com description: "Junkyard, a town of endless rain, with his four companions, Serf, the main character and a member of a tribe called Embryon, sets out for Nirvana, a land that can only be reached by the Champions of Junkyard. They devote themselves to fighting against the necver-ending resistance mustered by other tribes. Devour your enemies and absorb their devastating powers and special abilities! Switch between your human and demon to take advantage of your opponents weakness." Sounds just like SMT: Nocturne. Upon reviewing the screenshots, it looks just like SMT: Nocturne too. Why?
