Posted April 8, 200520 yr comment_1607433 So I get tickets for opening day to watch the AAA Red Barons, on opening day. I drive 35 miles to get there. It rains for four hours, and the four hours it rains coincides EXACTLY with the goddamn game. So it is cancelled, and re-scheduled as a doubleheader SATURDAY, when I work. FUCK. Seriously, I drove 70 miles total to eat at Wendy's, stare at a tarp for an hour and a half, and go home. Grrrr.

I do, but I fear this may be a running theme. Consider the ballgames I have gone to in the last five years... July 2001: Two games at Baltimore, cancelled due to toxic chemical spill April 2002: Red Barons game, rained out. Able to attend next day. July 2002: Red Barons game, attended. August 2004: Red Barons game, attended. April 2005: Red Barons game, rained out. This is a very small sample size, but of the last seven baseball games I have bought tickets for, FOUR of them have been cancelled. I mean, jesus christ on a crutch. And it is not like I live in Florida or the Pacific Northwest. It is not supposed to rain again for a week. It was sunny and warm all day yesterday, until 6:40. And since the doubleheader is scheduled Saturday instead of tonight, I'm losing $25 I would have gotten for scoring the game.
April 8, 200520 yr comment_1613370 You ate at fucking's WENDY'S?! My condolences, my friend.Wendy's owns any of that Texas junk you could prop up for eats.
April 8, 200520 yr comment_1613407 Fuck that noise. Wendy's isn't good at all... I rank it up their with McDonald's although it isn't that bad.
April 8, 200520 yr Author comment_1617083 Har har Flyboy. Their caesar side salad was quite good actually. I'm leaving now to try this again. Wish me luck.

If it makes you feel any better, the PGA Tour has had it just as bad so far this season as far as rainouts go. Good luck today, btw. I got my tickets for the double header opener here in Ottawa (Rochester vs. Lynx) yesterday. Front row seats, above the visitor's dugout.
April 12, 200520 yr Author comment_1667504 I made it to Friday's game, as well as yesterday's game. Tonight I'm heading up again to watch Vicente Padilla make a rehab start. I'll have scouting reports sometime in the future.
