Posted August 6, 20178 yr comment_5809808 This was a strange match that sort of tested my tolerance to a particular style. This has a lot of guys I like and I am not adverse to comedy in wrestling. In addition, some of the spots in the moment made me laugh like the referee comedy, but then when I remove myself from the match and reflect on things, they don’t sit right. Comedy is pretty critical throughout this project as we get the CHIKARA dance spots and some PWG hijinks that start creeping in more rapidly. I have an expectation as to how I will react to those and that is ultimately how I reacted here in that I thought with the talent involved, they could have done better. **3/4
November 8, 20177 yr comment_5819197 Yeah the action was okay but kind of falls away as this devolves into a kind of comedy spectacle. I am not averse to comedy in wrestling at all it just didn't click for me in this instance with so much going on. Hard to accurately gauge as a match then.
December 12, 20177 yr comment_5823830 I can see why some people wouldn't like this. It starts off alright with a big rudo beatdown and leads into the Parka/Pierroth feud. Then it breaks into a Monterrey match when the Parkas take over. This is basically the Monterrey style. Lots of comedy and ref antics. Some of the refs make Tirantes look like Tommy Young. This gets really bad in the mid 2000s when Konan Big's big push starts. As for the match, it was alright but not very exciting. I'll give Antifaz credit for trying.
January 28, 20187 yr comment_5829693 Awesome rudo team. I liked this even if it did veer toward comedy and the usual BS. Anytime you have Emilio Charles Jr exchanging strikes with Fuerza Guerrera and Wagner, and Pierroth and Parka trading chops, you're bound to have something worth watching.
