Jason Jordan shines again, that was a really good match with Roman. And that rolling northern lights suplex is damn impressive.

 

After the third week of shooty-shoot promo battles I think we're hitting diminishing returns. Also, jorts enthusiast John Cena has no room to take a shot at Roman's cargo pants.

I gotta admit, I lol'ed at Roman's line about knowing a guy who can help Cena break in to Hollywood.

When we rank the top 3 worst babyfaces of all time, Enzo Amore is easily there. Don't even mean in terms of success because thousands of faces have lost hundreds of times. It is just that there is no sympathy for him. Every thing that a heel does to him like the Miz tonight is completely deserved

Asuka going to Raw has me conflicted. On paper, it's a positive since it's the A show and they need some help on the women's side. However there's more intriguing matchups and storylines possible on Smackdown. The hype videos building her up at least give me some faith they won't just be bringing her up to put over Nia.

Man they are going all out to get Owens over. Just beat up Vince

They are going all 2009 Randy Orton with him I think. Beats up Vince, Steph comes out at the end, etc I'd imagine this will end with KO v Hunter at mania

One thing you can never take away from Vince is that he will absolutely do whatever it takes to get someone over if he's doing an angle.

At this point it's clear Owens is the main focus of Smackdown. This entire angle is designed to get him over. Nak, Jinder and even AJ seem like afterthoughts at the moment. I'm sure that will change but you have to give credit, like with Braun,that they are going all in on a guy. Owens has his flaws but he can get stuff over and I think he will here

But, in all seriousness, a 72-year old man isn't supposed to take bumps and a beating the way Vince does. I bet this was his idea for Kevin Owens to headbutt him.

That was a hell of a performance from Vince. The crazy old bastard still has it.

How does PWO like Jason Jordan? I fucking love this kid in the ring. Distinct style in a world were everyone has become very homogenized. I'm a sucker for amateur grappler style and his throws are way more impressive than all those lame men's floor exercise tumbles people do now. In ring he is the best prospect they have had in forever. As Bookwr T said Strap the rocket to this kid!

I think he's great but he's going to end up being completely ruined with the stupid "Kurt's son" storyline. There's probably a way they can salvage it if it turns out Jason was concocting some sort of evil scheme, but nothing I've seen shows me he's got the McMahon-like scene chewing capabilities to pull something like that off.

It was stupid as fuck though. And it sets a terrible precedent too "Hey, the 70 years old boss did it, why won't you ?". To set up yet another awful, stupid and dangerous Shane match I would guess. This is dreadfull on every level.

Headbutt was stupid and ill-advised, but 100% made Owens. Whoever thought that Kevin Steen would be a guy Vince would want to push to the moon? Although he shares at least part of the blame with his bad in-ring habits and occasional laziness, WWE hasn't done him a ton of favors in the past when it comes to character (making him Jericho's comedic sidekick, the Face of America foreign heel #87). This should allow him to play the cold, vindictive character he thrives at.

Oh, of course. Vince still gets it as far as the authority is supposed to show ass and get beat up. It's insane after 17 years, Trip & Stephy still haven't figured this out (well, they probably have, but they just don't want to).

It was a great angle. Just wait until Stephanie has a word with him. (I'm being mostly flippant, but you know that's coming.)

 

I don't think they have to do this, but Stephanie firing him and him redoing the ROH thing where he randomly shows up unexpectedly for a while would be fun.

I was thinking they will reveal that Owens and Stephanie planned this all long to get Vince and Shane out of power. Then Hunter comes back. Maybe not but I could see them doing that

According to Meltzer, it wasn't a shoot head butt. He said Vince was pre-cut and they placed nu skin on it that opened during the spot. Apparently Vince actually wanted blood for the angle.

It was a shoot headbutt. What Dave said was he thinks he wasn't shoot busted open because it's such a rarity to get blood from one headbutt. So he was just guessing anyway. And he said from talking to other guys who have done it, "you still gotta headbutt the hell out of the guy" even if it was pre-opened to bleed again.
