OK, so Wrestlemania's in Chicago which was a big AWA town, but I never expected to see Vince ever acknowledge Verne having any role in the business other than being the guy who didn't see the potential in Hulk Hogan.
March 14, 200619 yr comment_4647659 On the contrary, this seems like the ultimate diss to the guy who wouldn't sell out to him way back when. My less cynical side says that Vince realizes that Verne truly is a legend and standard-bearer in the biz, and the WWE is the only group that can show everybody that and introduce a new crop of wrestling fans to wrestling's past.
