April 25, 200619 yr comment_4855055 I think the Spurs will get to the finals without too much trouble. I just can't see them, or anyone, beating the Pistons 4 out of 7.
April 25, 200619 yr comment_4855161 Credit to the Bulls for keeping this series close despite the one-sided officiating. Clippers are looking really good early, both offensively and defensively.
April 25, 200619 yr comment_4855173 I think the Spurs will get to the finals without too much trouble. I just can't see them, or anyone, beating the Pistons 4 out of 7.I agree that the Pistons look like absolute monsters. With that said, the Spurs were only one game behind them in the standings. Also, i don't like to predict the finals before it actually happens because one team is always one injury away from not making it. God forbid, if the Spurs lost Tony Parker or Tim Duncan for the rest of the playoffs, they will not win the championship. Same can be said for the Pistons if they were to lose Ben Wallace or Chauncey Billups.
April 25, 200619 yr comment_4855400 I think the Spurs will get to the finals without too much trouble. I just can't see them, or anyone, beating the Pistons 4 out of 7. I could actually see the Clippers challenge the Spurs. ... ... Yeah, I went there.
April 25, 200619 yr comment_4855483 I don't know if I'd go there, but after watching tonight, I think the possibility of an upset over Phoenix is a lot greater than I had thought.
April 25, 200619 yr comment_4855650 On TNT, they just said that Avery Johnson will be named Coach of the Year.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4858752 Which reminds me, here's my winners MVP: Dirk Nowitzki Rookie of the Year: Chris Paul Coach of the Year: Avery Johnson Defensive POTY: Marcus Camby Sixth Man of the Year: Mike Miller Most Improved POTY: Mike James
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859080 Wizards even it up at 1, as the big 3 of Arenas/Jamison/Butler combine for 71 of 89 points.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859636 The Kings are playing their asses off in this game! The rest of the guys stepped up in Artest's absence but I think it is a combo of the Spurs letting down and the Kings stepping up.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859687 No offense, GH, but the Spurs really got lucky tonight. Not only on Barry's 3, but Duncan's moving pick that wasn't called is why Barry was so open.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859698 Whatever. Just watched that "moving pick". That was Bibby tripping over Duncan's feet. Bad calls happen in every game. Lucky shots fall. I could count about 8 calls where Tim was hacked where they didn't call it yet showed it on the replay. So... break down that Pacers game. Also, I hope Jalen Rose is never allowed to interview a player after a game again. "Ma-Nu. Tell-us-a-bout-your-a-ssist-to-Brent-Bar-ry."
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859705 Also, Chuck just said it perfectly... They were stupid for leaving Barry open in the first place. Duncan should have never even had a man on him.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859746 After seeing the whole play again, you were right about the screen...I just saw Duncan setting a screen and moving with Bibby, so I assumed it was a moving screen. But Bibby was coming in pretty hard. I could have brought up Artest's absence and the fact that the Kings' best player tonight couldn't play in the overtime, too, but I was trying to put it nicely, so you wouldn't get all defensive and start taking immature potshots at my team. Oh well, can't please everyone, I guess.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859789 Their was no need to bring up Artest's absence because I already did. Of course the Spurs should have owned this game. I never said they shouldn't have. In fact, if you scroll up the screen I even gave the Kings credit. They played thier asses off. Then again, it was with Artest that the Spurs blew them out. As for the Pacers game, that is your expertise. If you can't handle a little "immature" ribbing... um, sorry.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859797 I didn't sense any sarcasm in your post. If you were being sarcastic, then I apologize. And for what it's worth, I don't have anything against the Spurs, I actually quite like them. The only guy I don't like on the Spurs is Bruce Bowen.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4859844 Ugh, heartbreaker there with the Barry 3. I don't care if it bounced 8 times before it went in, the Kings should've guarded against the 3 at all costs. Major defensive error. They should've let the Spurs try to drive one on one and play the free throw game. The look the Maloofs had on the sidelines told me Adelman's days are numbered in Sac. I don't consider the Duncan screen a bad call at all. It's the playoffs and it was crunch time. Shit like that happens. I remember back in '93 when the Bulls played the Knicks and Starks drove baseline in game 2 and dunked on Jordan and Horace Grant. What people don't ever remember seeing is Patrick Ewing wiping BJ Armstrong out completely to set Starks up for the drive. I chuck that up to it being the playoffs and screens like that are going to not get called in a close game.
April 26, 200619 yr comment_4861553 With the news Nash is getting MVP, I banking Kobe goes for 50 or more tonight.
April 26, 200619 yr Author comment_4861667 If Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Steve Nash or Elton Brand get the MVP, I'll be happy. As long as it doesn't go to someone like Billups or Parker.
April 28, 200619 yr comment_4867042 Now THAT's the JO I want to see against Krstic and Cliff Robinson. Jesus.
April 28, 200619 yr comment_4867143 I missed the game. What did he do? Watching the Miami-Chicago game, I am surprised how idiotic the Heat players are. First Haslem throwing his mouthpiece the other night and then the flagrant/technical festival at the end of the game. What a bunch of dumb asses!
April 28, 200619 yr comment_4867177 37 points, 15 boards, 4 blocks for O'Neal. It wasn't televised nationally.
April 29, 200619 yr comment_4872337 I don't think the Spurs game was televised nationally but watch that last shot by Martin that won the game for the Kings. Props to the Kings for winning but if Tim Duncan plays like he did tonight, then watch out.
April 29, 200619 yr comment_4872344 It was on ESPN2, and I just happened to catch the last play switching channels back and forth. Great finish.
April 30, 200619 yr comment_4879677 Apparently the NBA refs are trying to make the NFL refs look like pros in the playoffs. How can they call a jump ball on Nash getting gangbanged like that?
