Posted December 27, 20177 yr comment_5825541 Kris & David are joined by Brad Stutts (CWF Mid-Atlantic) to discuss the week that was December 20-26, 1987. We talk about the wild Christmas Night show (and pay-per-view?!?) at Reunion Arena in Dallas featuring the infamous Fritz Von Erich “heart attack” angle and the aftermath from that. We also talk about WWF planning a big prime time show on NBC and their wild house show schedule, the comings and goings in Jim Crockett Promotions, Hector Guerrero tormenting Lance Russell, Ron Fuller selling Continental to David Woods, and tons more. This is a definite must-listen show!!! January 8, 20187 yr comment_5827254 There was no Barney in 87. But we did have USA EXPRESS EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER ALL AMERICAN WRESTLING ON SUNDAY MORNING. Falcon and Dog Wonder. This is years before Cartoon network. We also had MASK. Classic Hanna-Barbera reruns like the Harry Bear Bunch. Anyway thanks for all of the classic BTS episodes. December 23rd was my birthday and I was busy during these cold weeks but I appreciate every episode during those classic years. I'll call it the "pre-internet years."
January 20, 20187 yr comment_5828719 The big reveal is that toddler Kris and Bix were watching wrestling when other 2 tear olds were watching Barney, According to my baby book, I may have held out until I was nearly 3. "Loves wrestling and can name many guys. Especially likes Hulk Hogan, JYD and Hillbilly Jim" On topic, I can never shake my image as Al Perez being a much bigger deal than he really was due to my memories of him being the champ in WCCW around the time I had the cognition to remember such things.
