Man, what started as another tough guy vs tough guy turned into one of the most enjoyable slugfests in recent months. Two monsters giving everything they have to each other, specially Zeus, who looked like a great big underdog here; his strength bombs felt organic, he earned every single one of them. Doering's title reigns started not so well, but here he finally gives a main event performance, being a difficult ladder to climb for the challenger but also being able to look weakened and vulnerable sometimes, when the match required it. Not a MOTYC by any means, but it was worthwile and they earned the crowd's attention and respect. I hope Doering keeps at this level. *** 3/4.

Great beefy big guy match. They both go in there throwing big strikes and gritty holds. They show some great struggle between the big stuff. Zeus is a great babyface which is not a position he finds himself in very often. Joe is a great top guy throwing out some horrific chops in this. The crowd was very hot and they manage to have this match without falling into the boring tropes that can fill any modern 'hoss' fights of endless bad strike exchanges or rolling through several German suplexes. Here they don't bother, the strikes are regular but are never in parity exchanges. Just great big lad wrestling all around and match of the year so far ****1/2. The selling of fatigue was outstanding was it legit tiredness? Who cares it gave some great drama.

This started off in awesome, big boy explosive fashion. After a couple of minutes though, it all went downhill. The match started to drag & drag & drag - it felt like the definition of a match going too long just because it has the company's main title involved. The 20 minutes felt like 50. No sense of urgency whatsoever. It's a shame too, because Big Joe & Zeus could've had an AWESOME bombfest sprint, I am sure of that. Oh well. *

"COME ON MOTHERFUCKER SHOW ME POWER!"-Pretty much says it all.

In all seriousness, this was a lovely bit of wrestling. Great back-and-forth bombfest with Zeus stepping up to the champion and proving he deserves to be on his level. Joe tries to use his size and force to overpower Zeus but is constantly cut off by his smaller opponent's surprising strength. You really felt like they were putting everything into their strikes and slams to the point where both were spent by the finish. I love that type of struggle and it's not something you see a whole lot in wrestling anymore.

****1/2
