Hilarity at the new job

So I come into work today (I work the 3:30 to midnight shift at a call center) and right off the bat I notice there's a hostile vibe in the air. Within the first 5 minutes I find out:

1. A main broke and the building has no water

2. Two of my co-workers had a yelling match that got them both sent home before it got ugly.

3. One person involved in the fracas initally refused to go home because he doesn't like taking orders from females (the boss is on vacation and his #2 is running things).

4. Said person apparently quit since all his shit was gone off his desk (dude had a ton of family photos all over his computer).

5. Another co-worker apparently quit due to unrelated drama.

6. One white girl I work with decided to inform the rest of our mostly black co-workers that one of her friends is racist and drops the N bomb like nothing (and then tried to excuse/justify it), nearly setting off a motherfucking race riot mere feet from my workspace.

So yeah, that was how my day started.

Even better was no water = no bathroom facilities. We figured they'd send us all home, but instead they trucked in some porta-potties. That went over well considering more than 75% of the employees are female.

So I spent the night with my head down avoiding the warfare and running to the OTB next door to use their pisser since I'm really not feeling porta-potties unless it's the only option.

I can't wait till Friday's shift is over so I can take three days away from this zoo. I really feel like my fiancee who works in a daycare with austistic kids has an easier job than I do.

Thank God I got a call from Comcast today about a customer service job. I hope I make the cut so I can get out of this place.
