I had pretty high expectations for this one & I am happy to report that it did live up to all of those! Fantastically structured match w/ Ohno being the classic big man bully that he is, beating the crap out of Bate & making fun of him while doing so. Bate was an amazing babyface fighting from underneath to go against that - LOVED his comebacks, in particular that punch flurry he busted out at one point. They built to the big German Suplex spot super well too, which helped build into the finish which was unreal. A motherfucking UFO sighting. What a way to end an absolute banger of a match. ****1/4

I liked this one a lot as well, but not quite as much as SLB. Ohno worked Bate over hard and Bate is such a natural work-from-below babyface. I thought his comebacks sort of hulking through things were a bit much and then - presumably because of the injury - the finish sort of fell off the rails just a bit. That all said, it was a still a great match. Both guys looked great and you could see Hero improving with every outing. ****

The first Ohno standout match of the tournament against the mighty Tyler Bate whom is also WWE affiliated (un)coincidentally. Really fun match to say the least with Ohno working mostly on top which led to some great comebacks from Tyler. Not exactly the greatest hits from either man in this match, but they still managed to build up to a great upset for Tyler in the end, ****.
