For the most part, this was a very good ***1/2-***3/4 match w/ really good leg psychology, but the finishing stretch put it on that next level - Starr goes HAM on WALTER's leg that he has been working on throughout the thing, WALTER is in real trouble, but manages to bust out a CRADLE to get the win. Such fantastic storytelling; Starr had WALTER scouted big time, here in their 10th singles match against each other, and while WALTER does unleash some of his murderous offense on the man, Starr has a counter for almost everything, which resulted in WALTER kinda having to fight from underneath! What a fantastic twist in this amazing rivalry. Absolutely amazed at the match-by-match psychology they bring. ****

Not their "best" match as a pairing, but a really good chapter in their ongoing feud. I liked that Starr worked the leg instead of the arm/hand here and I loved how Walter sold that throughout the match. Walter really felt like he was on his heels near the end of this, just bear-maning his way through the pan when he can but still very limited. The roll-up was sort of a double edged sword for me. I loved it and thought it added a new layer to their feud that makes me really excited to see their next match. The idea that Walter had to pseudo steal one here is incredible and I think really elevated Starr in the match. As soon as it happened I laughed and was really happy in a "this genuinely shocked me" kinda way, which I love. At the same time it felt a little like it cut a classic a touch short. So while it might have limited the match itself, it really is a boon for the rivalry as a whole. ****1/4

Not the best match I have seen from these two, but still a really good match to add to this worldwide feud. Starr managed to find a smart strategy this time around in attacking WALTER's leg, who sold it really well from start to finish. Of course Starr still had to survive the onslaught of the big man's terrifying strikes which kept him down but not for long either. It was a well told story with WALTER getting the rollup pin in the end, and it made so much sense too as it was an act of great desperation for once against Starr, ****.
