Well, I didn't "meet" any of you guys until about the summer of... 2003, I want to say. I was never at the first SNKT, Cynics, or anything like that. I think I maybe clicked the links in Chong's sig of the original SNKT when he posted at TSM during my 'post whore regime', but that's about it. I think it's safe to say I've "grown" up in the IWC, though even though I really couldn't care less about wrestling although I did catch Angle Vs. Guerrero on Smackdown! which did entertain me to great lengths. It is crazy that about this time next year I'll be ready to get out of high school and it dawns on me how fast life can go before your eyes. I still remember when I wanted to be like the Ultimate Warrior.

I was reading Rantsylvania/TheSmarks for probably close to 2 years or so before I bothered to join any of the forums. I missed out on all of the WDI drama and stuff, as I think I joined the old EZBoard sometime in December '01. Joined the Invisionboard when that started up and eventually signed up at WDI, as well, probably sometime in the spring of '02. Posted at both TSM and WDI and probably some other places, too, until SNKT V.1 started up and signed up there, too, pretty much leaving WDI (I maybe visit there once or twice a month still, if that). SNKT V.1 closed down, so I was pretty much at just TSM until SNKT V.2 started up and was there from beginning to end. Flyboy (I think) threw me a link to this place a little bit after it started up and I've been here since.

 

And that's that, I guess.

Summer 2000: I get 'net access and while searching for information about old WWF Coliseum Videos, I stumble across Scott Keith's supply of old reviews. I quickly become engrossed in them and am admittedly a faithful reader.

Damn, I had net access in the fall of '99. But I got here through Wrestleline that had an ad in an old WOW magazine. Discovered SK through Wrestleline but I wasn't really paying attention to him.. not yet. I mainly read CRZ since a night class took away Mondays for a few eeks until I switched my schedule around.

 

 

April 18, 2001: Although having read SK's reviews for months at this point, I had never checked out the board adjecent to the main site. Following Wrestlemania, I decide to check it out. I like what I see and register with one of the lamest names ever seen on a board: daredevil21. I had been on a comic kick at the time and since I just wanted to register, that was the first thing that came to mind.

I think I started lurking about the same time but this was two years after I had net access.

 

 

Bruiser Chong is born. After a failed attempt at WDI, CJ convinces me in a chat at four in the morning to register the name at TSM, complete with badass avatar and signature. Since I'm spineless, I go with it and within the day, have become one of the most hated people at TSM

I always thought Bruiser was another CJ incarnation.

 

As for being hated, if you are hated by the right people, then you are doing something right.

 

 

At the same time, WDI has become stale, as there has been a debate sparked about Content vs. Fun. I side with the former, but it's clear a losing battle is being fought.

It isn't a losing battle. Ultimately, content will win out. Fun may have won out at WDi but then again, the mindless BS that occurred at WDI isn't my type of fun.

Well, I registered at TSM as "Flyboy212EAW" (because usually simply just "Flyboy" is always taken) and didn't post too much. I think I really got 'sparked' by the whole Mission to 1000 Thread and was labelled a 'post whore'.

THat was probably me who labelled you that more than anyone else. Whenever I was complaining about post whores, it was you and CWM that I criticized the most. Back then, I was a bad post whore also as my 6000 posts at TSM will prove but I thought I mixed in a few worthy posts in there along the way. I couldn't say the same thing about you, CWM, or Tony149 who had more posts and less words than any poster I knew. Not pos-whoring really just comes with growing up. Hell, I was older than you are now and was a post whore even though I knew better. I think since the mesage board thing was new to me, I actually enjoyed seeing my pos count rise.

I figured it may serve me better to compile a mini-timeline. I should note that I only put the exact date of my first account in there because I logged into it to see when I joined. I knew it was mid-April, but my memory isn't that good.

I wanted to smack these girls upside their heads and ask them if they even had any idea of what 0wnZ means, or if they even had any idea of where it came from. Then I happened to say, "This 0wnZ with a p" and started laughing hysterically. None of them got it.

It was conversations like this and the other board Sun and I post at that caused me to mention this place to her.

Danny, I'm usually pretty violent or inclined towards violence. It's ingrained into my nature. On the internet illiteracy tip, I know a guy that actually says "roxxorz". Thankfully not very well as I only see him around every couple of months.
