Hey, just wanted to drop a line, I might become scarce around here for a little bit. I think my computer got virus'd, I kept getting an error on bootup with Vsmon.exe which is the exe file for my Zone Alarm firewall. Doing a little googling I found out there's a virus that fucks with that exe. I renamed it but now when I boot windows, all I get is a flash of the taskbar and an empty desktop. Won't even boot to safe mode. Thankfully I still have my old laptop and it has a network adapter card so I can still get net access.

 

Hopefully I can find a working win98 cd and key and get up and running full speed soon. My mom's in the hospital as well so I don't have the free time I normall

would to take care of this shit. I'll still be around on the laptop but on a more limited basis.

Just wanted to update everyone, my mom had another stroke (she had a mini stroke about this time last year). She's okay now but they're still running tests because her carotid artery is more than 50% blocked.

 

As far as my computer goes, it's still hosed at the moment but I got some tips from another board that will hopefully get things straightened out. I'll still be lurking from work and on my laptop from home so you won't be completely rid of me yet.

They have everything under control as far as the stroke goes, the problem is that doctors don't usually want to do surgery on diabetics but they can't let her artery stay that blocked.

On the plus side, I mailed you those DVDs earlier today.

I got my computer somewhat fixed, I seem to have a problem with playing media files like AVIs and MPGs, but at least I can boot into Windows now.
