It's a shame they didn't have better camera work... 11/14 Wayne, NJ (WWA - 350): Jimmy Shoulders b Kodiak Bear, Ed the Razor b Gus the Greek Terror, Tommy Cairo b Damian Stone ***1/4, Ray Oddyssey b The Mauler *, Spider & Cheetah Kid & Al the Sledge Hammer b Chris Evans & Tank & Boy Gone Bad DUD, Chris Candito b Sabu-DQ ***1/2, Old style Texas death match: Terry Funk b Eddie Gilbert when Gilbert failed to answer bell for 12th fall 26:58 ***** Terry Funk and Eddie Gilbert had a classic brawl on 11/14 in Wayne, NJ, an old-style Texas death match which went 12 falls and 26:48. Both guys and manager Mark Curtis bled, with Gilbert bleeding buckets. They brawled all over the gym. The only bad thing was that only 350 fans attended the show, and because of a 30 minute delay before the card started, there were only 150-200 fans left when the match started. It seems like just about every one of them called here over the next two days to say it was a ***** match and as good as, if not better than any of the Gilbert vs. Cactus Jack matches from last year which is pretty heavy praise.
