OK, so now that I'm in my new digs, how do I share my net connection between a PC and a iBook? I know there's web based routers, but most seem to  have Windows software.

 

So Mac heads, help a brotha out.

If it has a web-based interface, it should not matter at all which OS you are accessing it from.  All you have to do is setup internet connection sharing on it, and anything you plug into should work.

 

Unless if I am way off base.  I've avoided home routers like the plague.

Assuming you have a high speed internet connection you need a wireless broadband router. Here's a link to Lynksys' router that I have and it always worked well for me. It also works for both Windows and Mac operating systems.
