David Letterman: Seems to have regained his touch after his health problems and the birth of his son.

Jay Leno: Unfunny, complete douche who threw Johnny Carson under the bus.

Conan O'Brien: He always reminds me of the kid who does anything to get attention. He's probably the most consistently funny host in late night TV.

Tom Snyder: I actually liked his show, but his style didn't really age well with the times.

Dennis Miller: His right-wing political swing seems to come at the cost of his humor. Spends too much time making obscure refrences rather than being entertaining.

Bill Maher: Tries too hard to be a "independent" type, kissing up to conservatives, when he's obviously a very liberal minded person. His "too cool for school" attitude sometimes puts me off.

Jon Stewart: I like to watch his show simply because he reacts to the outrages in the world the same way I do.

I don't watch talk shows.

BUT, I would like to state that I really fucking hate Jay Leno. The few times I've seen the show, he's told jokes in a terrible manner. His punchlines always come across like this to me:

"And it turns out it was french fries from McDonalds! Yeah! French fries! Yeah! Whoo! French fries! Yeah, and they were from McDonalds! Do you get it? FRENCH FRIES!!!"

As a wise man once said: "Instead of time-tested jokes about mother-in-laws and airline food, you got some big-chinned schlub reading typos from the Palookavilla Post! Here's a headline for you: NOBODY CARES!!!"

I do like the Daily Show, though I only really watch it if I'm with my buddy who does watch it.

David Letterman ~ I've always liked him more than Jay Leno but that's not saying a whole lot. His show has never really been any good and now, at least to me, it'd downright unwatchable.

Jay Leno ~ Meh is every sense of the word. Lame jokes.

Conan O'Brien ~ Love Conan. He's actually funny. Nothing will top the Walker: Texas Ranger Lever

Tom Snyder ~ Got to be honest, I have no clue who that is.

Dennis Miller ~ Man, he bombed on Monday Night Football, no? As a TV host, I don't really watch him. Too political for my taste. As a comedian, I didn't think he was funny.

Bill Mahr ~ Hate him. Always have. He's bland and unfunny.

Jon Stewart ~ Much like Conan to me. He's just naturally funny. Seems like a cool dude and I enjoy the Daily Show.

David Letterman - had, at one point, one of the best top notch delivery ability in late night TV. Creative and witty.

Jay Leno - his delivery leaves a lot to be desired. Creative.

Conan O'Brien - is one of the most creative and witty dorks in the mainstream public aside from Seth McFarlane. His humor can connect with young and old people alike. His delivery for jokes is top notch.

Tom Snyder - his delivery has never stood out to me. Very witty.

Dennis Miller - his delivery is hit or miss. His jokes need to be filtered through someone who is dumber than him. Better in small doses.

Bill Mahr - is better at telling stories with a punch line than actually being funny with his jokes. His delivery for jokes is practically non-existant. He just...talks. He doesn't change his voice or mannerisms to help improve the quality of his jokes. He is very witty and can be creative.

Jon Stewart - his joke delivery is either great or terrible. Stewart, O'Brien and McFarlane make up a generation of dorks who grew up to become famous while sticking to their dork roots all the way. His "eating at Loser Village" line in regards to getting dumped by his wife after Elizabeth Shue hit on him on some MTV show had me rolling. He is not afraid to make fun of himself and does it in such a way that he doesn't look totally pathetic or too self-depricating. Him and Conan O'Brien are going to be the next generation of late night hosts. It'll be for the better of TV.

David Letterman

-Wish I could have seen his older shows on NBC. I'll still watch the show sometimes and he's always pretty funny.

Jay Leno

-I like Headlines, that's about it.

Conan O'Brien

-Watch his show every night and will usually tape it if I'm working or out somewhere. Both looking forward to and dreading his taking over the Tonight Show.

Tom Snyder

-I only know him for his eyebrows.

Dennis Miller

-Never watched his HBO (or whatever channel it was on) show and rarely watch his CNBC show. No real opinion on the guy.

Bill Mahr

-Seems like an asshole to me.

Jon Stewart

-Love his show, too. Seems like he's getting a bit of a big head, though, since the whole 'Crossfire' thing.

David Letterman- The best ever IMO I only caught the tail end of Carson's career, and I thought Dave was funnier. Loved his wacky bits in the 80s and 90s (viewer mail, throwing stuff of buildings, Larry Bud Melman) When he wants to be , he's still the best, he just doesn't seem motivated all the time now. Used to be a tough interviewer, but started to kiss up more once the show became mainstream and he had to get big guests on the show.

Jay Leno-the very definition of average. He's a total kiss ass so of course all the celebrities say how great he is and do his show in a minute. Terrible, Terrible bits. His writing staff is stuck in the 70s. Is only popular because he kisses ass and dares not to ruffle any feathers.

Conan O'Brien-could be the greatest in due time. Great wit, a tremendous writing staff that is able to appeal to alternative AND traditional comedy fans. When Conan first got the show he was quoted as saying he wanted his show to be a "Sketch show that happened to feature celebrity interviews" You can tell he doesn't give a damn about interviews and it actually makes the show funnier. Naturally funny. Great writing, just great writing.

Tom Snyder-solid show, nothing more. Great storyteller, although seemed lost in his last run when he had to interview younger actors and comics. He probably took himself too seriously at times. Great interviewer that could really get something out of his guests. Not naturally funny or anything. He was old school in that the show was about the interview and not about a monolgue and bits.

Dennis Miller-I loved his HBO show. Good at shoveling through all the Hollywood bullshit. Had a great writing staff. Had the advantage of being able to swear and talk about taboo topics not allowed on network TV. His current show is alright, but Dennis is not suited for basic cable. I think he has become more tame since he has become older and became a father. Still a great comedian.

Bill Mahr-never really liked him. Takes himself way too seriusly. Huge ego. I never believe it when he says he's a feminist at heart or whatever, that he respects women's opinions more than anyone. Tries to be balanced, but you can tell he leans towards the left. Not funny in his monolgues or stand up.

Jon Stewart- Im going to get killed for this, but I'm not a real big fan of the Daily Show. I prefer Jon in his stand up and when he's just naturally being funny. The Daily Show is too cute for my tastes, its just another excuse to bash the right. He's an underrated interviewer though. Very funny guy who I prefer in conversation and stand up settings

I know I'm the token lefty, but considering the right runs every branch of the government, what else can he pick on? He picked on Clinton a lot when he was President, and now picking on the left would be like making fun of your retarded cousin at the family reunion.

David Letterman - Used to really funny before the move to CBS and 11:30. He can on occasion get a laugh out of me now. I might watch part of the show 5 times a year at this point though.

Jay Leno - I never really cared for him.

Conan O'Brien - When Andy left his show died. Andy carried Conan's ass. Conan, like Letterman had that wacky, irreverant schtick, but unlike Letterman Conan lost it way before his impending move to 11:30.

Tom Snyder - He wasn't funny, but that wasn't really the intention. I didn't watch him much because Conan was good at the time.

Dennis Miller - Had virtually no use for him when he was a bleeding heart who made obscure referances that I didn't get, I have a little bit of use for him now that he's a conservative who makes obscure referances that I don't get,

Bill Mahr - Never thought he was funny. I don see the irony in him having a show called "Politically Incorrect" and getting fired the first time he ever says anything politically incorrect.

Jon Stewart - Has his moments. I thought Killborn was better on that show (Killborn was horrible when had to stretch it out over the course of an hour on CBS, though). I have no problem with people goofing on my political beliefs (or me for that matter) as long as it's funny. He, unlike Al Franken (or virtually any other lefty) has actually made me laugh at what he said , as opposed to laughing because of the stupidity or ignorance of what he said.
