August 5, 201411 yr comment_5617269 I do remember that, a real low point in TNA history seeing Luger helped down the aisle for the cheap digs.
August 17, 201411 yr comment_5619704 The current state of play to recap: While TNA is getting a new day this week, the show has not yet been renewed by Spike TV and talks are ongoing. The move was made, as previously reported, in order to avoid competition from the NFL as well as potentially Smackdown if SyFy moves it. The NFL Thursday games on CBS start on September 11th, which means that is three episodes of Impact that would have potentially been affected by the competition. It has been noted that there is a distinct lack of hype for October 12ths Bound for Glory, with no mention of the event on TV lately (including little to no attention during the New York City tapings). Many employees have no idea of the plans or details for BFG. Of course, there are tapings set for Impact that would take them past the current contract, so that is seen as a good sign. The very latest from PWInsider: We've heard from multiple TNA talents that Bully Ray held a meeting with the roster working tonight's live event in Hagerstown, MD and informed them he wanted to personally tell them goodbye as he didn't expect to be back for the company. Bully is/was due to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. Was a road agent/booker/office personnel guy at TNA too. Top babyface on the TNA TV too with weeks and weeks of shows in the can - booked the show around himself potentially. When you think it can't get worse it does.
August 18, 201411 yr comment_5619981 That's a bit random. Is there any word where he's going? Kind of amusing if he leaves and pulls a mini-Hogan.
September 17, 201411 yr comment_5625817 Brodus Clay debuted at the tapings tonight. I actually think that is a decent signing.

September 18, 201411 yr comment_5626109 The latest issue of the WON features Dave recapping the Grantland article on TNA and pretty much ethering Dixie Carter. He more or less takes every quote she made in the whole piece and points out how full of shit she is.
September 19, 201411 yr comment_5626462 Brodus Clay debuted at the tapings tonight. I actually think that is a decent signing. Yeah, total game changer. The first wrestler I've ever seen botch a pin.

September 19, 201411 yr comment_5626546 Doubt it was a botch. It was something scripted for Total Divas.
September 20, 201411 yr comment_5626764 During the Knockouts battle royal all I could think was if I weren't a fan and by channel surfing came upon that match I'd just think pro wrestling was everything Joe Rogan said it was and move on. Havok is just horrible and her generic theme doesn't help.
October 2, 201410 yr comment_5630733 When you get to that point shouldn't you just use the hard cam for the whole show like it's a pre-WCCW wrestling TV show?
October 4, 201410 yr comment_5631138 TNA is drawing about 200-300 fans to their shows after twelve years of national TV exposure. Their PPV buys don't even approach 45,000 and the TV ratings are dwindling slowly every week. This isn't the WWF in 1997 where TV ratings are down but every other indicator is up. This is a promotion running on fumes. Does Dixie really think some other network is going to pick up this hot product and pump huge sums of money into it to prop it up for another 3-5 years despite all evidence it cannot run itself? Or is she just looking for someone dumb enough to help her absorb the losses of her parents' money?
October 4, 201410 yr comment_5631236 TNA supposedly is talking to a few different networks, you'd think if anything was substantial they'd announce a deal by now. From the ones Dave has mentioned that were in the running, Ion would make the most sense even if they offered less money since it's in more homes than even Spike.....but I don't see how Impact would fit in their schedule of Ghost Whisperer reruns.

Heh. I always get a chuckle out of Ion keeping their "Positively Entertaining" slogan when 90% of their programming is now grisly crime procedurals. But TNA is neither.
October 12, 201410 yr comment_5632617 I thought working with Muta and having the show in Japan was supposed to guarantee them a big crowd...?
October 12, 201410 yr comment_5632635 I thought working with Muta and having the show in Japan was supposed to guarantee them a big crowd...? They sold out Korakuen Hall. But that's not a big building.
October 12, 201410 yr Author comment_5632655 Has Korakuen been remodeled in recent years? It doesn't look the same to me.
October 12, 201410 yr comment_5632662 It was damaged by the big earthquake in 2011, I don't know if that has anything to do with its current look or not.
