I agree. ECIII is a better promo than Rollins, and he's been carrying himself more like a champion this year than Rollins has. You don't see ECIII constantly losing things and running round with his comedy sidekicks like Dastardly and Muttley trying to catch the pigeon. ECIII also wrestles like a heel, whereas Rollins is often guilty of wrestling more like a face (see the Cena series).

 

Of course, this is comparing one of the best runs on TNA with the worst non-Ziggler run in the WWE, but it is a rare thing TNA have done well.

Jay Lethal and Seth Rollins are one in the same as far as I am concerned. Bad heel Champs that Wrestle like spotty faces. EC3 should just stick to wrestling Spud for the rest of his life.

The countdown clock on TNA's site just expired with the big announcement being they're debuting on PopTV in early-January.

Apparently Paragon Pro will be leaving the channel now. The show sucked, but at least it was a small level company getting a shot, and not The Little Company That Shouldn't continuing on...again.

Not sure about other providers but I've got Time Warner and PopTV isn't offered in HD. It's a shame I won't be able to watch Mahabali Shera's meteoric rise to the world championship in 1080p.

Like what time period are you talking about? Because TNA has had some good-decent periods and I struggle to think of a time period that was as consistently awful as 2000 WCW was.

Everything I saw from the Sons of Anarchy time period... whatever the fuck that group was called.

 

Jarrett is all over 2000 WCW but he didn't really dominate like I thought he did that year. In the TNA PPV years, he ruined nearly everything.

I was looking at results from TNA at the beginning of 2015 and remembered Meltzer having some positive things to say around that time. I've skimmed through the January to March shows this week (watching matches of interest, and a few promos), as well as the Wolves v Dirty Heels series as they happened last May/June.

 

Without watching the whole shows, and potentially skipping through some nonsense, I've really enjoyed the stripped down feel to the show. The dark arenas (yes, I know why they have dark arenas) feels like a throwback. Crowd reactions in January were perfectly acceptable, and way better in the UK tapings afterwards. The format is to my liking also. Plenty of good talent (Roode, Young, Aries, Joe, Low Ki, Storm, Hardys, Angle, Lashley, Spud, EC3), plenty of good talkers and I feel that in it's own little world it's a perfectly acceptable wrestling show. Standouts were a couple of Joe v Aries, Aries v Ki, Spud v EC3 and the second Angle v Lashley match.

Looking at TNA's second quarter of last year, Aries v Angle (aired on 10th June) really stood out.

Angle also had a three match series with Young. I enjoyed the stretcher and Bully Ray-refereed ones.

The Magnus-Storm streetfight at Slammiversary was enjoyable but went into overkill.

It's sad that they've been on POP for two weeks and had a "PPV" and nobody even bothered to bump this thread

I mean, they did that entire tournament and just put the belt back on Carter, so that's fairly terrible, but sadly pretty low on the list of dumb shit they've done.

I'm glad there are still some wrestlers (theoretically) getting paid there, but there's nothing else to even say anymore. This thread is almost 9 years old and the question posed in the title was quite relevant then. The fact it's lasted this long is astonishing. It has no value or relevance as a wrestling company, but again I'll at least be nice and say it's great that it keeps some people in work.
