Posted May 8, 200718 yr comment_5417235 I can't vouch for this since I don't have the WON, but apparently, there are plans to try to make the women less slutty and more classy, and the women will now be wearing less revealing clothing. They are currently working with an image consultant who is giving them advice on how to present themselves on camera. Vince also wants to make WWE much more basic and wrestling-oriented, and thinks the way they can attract high-dollar advertisers at this point is to try to clean up their image. This would explain some of the things we've seen on TV lately, but I can't say I'm still not surprised. I'm just skeptical that this new approach is going to last very long.
May 8, 200718 yr comment_5417236 It's true. It probably won't last, but it should be interesting to follow.
May 8, 200718 yr comment_5417240 Actually the injury problem may force Vince to stay on track with this.
May 8, 200718 yr comment_5417246 Yeah, it definitely won't last because it will take years and years for WWE to shed their current sleazy image and the last thing Vince McMahon's got is patience. Of course, this decision comes just after they've decided to have their 4th Diva Search competition to find the next budding Playboy pin up.
May 14, 200718 yr comment_5417277 Well that didn't last long. Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter -- We reported last week that Vince McMahon had instituted a doctrine to present the divas of the company in a classier manner in order to obtain more mainstream sponsorship. It appears as if McMahon has made a “180” on that decision and decided against it since Kevin Dunn was very vocal in saying that it would not work and would wreak havoc on the upcoming Diva Search (which is considered Vince’s baby) via Rajah
May 14, 200718 yr comment_5417278 I think Rajah read it wrong... It said "his baby" in a context referring to Dunn, meaning that Dunn fought it because it would hurt Dunn's baby, the Diva Search. Also, the women will still be wearing tights instead of miniskirts/booty shorts.
