May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889424 No. It kind of feels like he's been treated like a freelancer so far.
May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889425 I can’t imagine them not wanting him there every show in some capacity as long as he’s up for it.
May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889426 Another look at the belt. Oddly enough, it looked silver to me on the PPV. Did anyone else see that, or is it just me?
May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889435 It's a good-looking belt. Someone told me they heard it was inspired by the Mid-South North American Heavyweight Championship.
May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889436 According to Meltzer the early buyrates are showing it did better than All In. He used the word significantly better. All In did 55,000. So if this show did let's say 70-80k is that a big deal and a huge success for them?
May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889442 200k seems really high but if they pulled that off it would be a massive success.
May 27, 20196 yr Author comment_5889444 Tony Khan hinted it was a huge number on the post show press conference.
May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889445 Even if they did half of that, that'd still be pretty impressive for a first-ever PPV.
May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889446 If true, that is absolutely massive. That's better than most WWE B-PPVs were doing before the launch of the Network, and that was when Raw had roughly twice as many viewers as it does now.
May 27, 20196 yr comment_5889454 100k would be massive, 200k is otherworldly to the point it doesn't seem realistic at all. 1 hour ago, Mad Dog said: According to Meltzer the early buyrates are showing it did better than All In. That surprised me a lot because I remember Dave saying it did 20k on the internet and if TV buys did better than that he would know or be told about it. 55k sounds pretty damn good or a show like All In.

I saw people throwing around different numbers for All In. Maybe that is the total of all the platforms together.
May 28, 20196 yr comment_5889477 Perhaps this is the wrong thread for it, but did anyone watch or attend any of the Starrcast panels? Anything worthwhile there?
May 28, 20196 yr Author comment_5889484 I think this thread is a fine place to ask that question and i am curious myself. I saw the Bucks & Cody q&a on YouTube. Also saw the roast of Bruce Pritchard which had bad audio and was horrible for the 15 minutes or so I watched.

I thought he said it did 200,000 searches in the Google Trends chart, not 200,000 buys.
May 29, 20196 yr comment_5889539 In news that will make @The Thread Killer happy, SoCalUncensored (the website, not the tag team) reported Joey Ryan turned down an AEW deal.
May 29, 20196 yr comment_5889540 Very surprising. He was always all over BTE, there's no way he will make it in WWE. Maybe he just wants to keep doing his thing.

May 29, 20196 yr comment_5889553 He was made an offer by WWE that would basically involve him transitioning into a player-coach role like Ohno on NXT before becoming a trainer. Dave pointed out he turned them down right before Robert Roode showed up on Raw with a Joey-eqsue porn stache.
May 29, 20196 yr comment_5889556 Jon Moxley's first match with AEW is official: against Joey Janela at FyterFest.

Anything worthwhile there? The Pillman Panel with Madden, Meltzer, Sullivan, Liam O'Rourke and Pillman Jr. was excellent. Well worth seeing. The first part of Dustin's interview where he talks about the match with Cody was great. Art of Wrestling had some very fun weirdness with Joey Janela and an amusing Randy Savage story from Glacier. Omega's Q&A had some interesting moments too, particularly about Ibushi.
