July 23, 200718 yr comment_5419659 Per Meltzer on today's F4D, Benoit's heart was normal. Weird.?!? That's actually a mild shock. Maybe enlarged hearts are a HGH thing and not an anabolic steroid thing.

July 23, 200718 yr comment_5419681 Meltzer's Update: -According to TMZ.com, on a Comedy Central taping last night (for a show airing in August), Jimmy Kimmel, when roasting Flavor Flav, making fun of the fact Flav has children with several different women, said, "Chris Benoit is a better father than you." The editors of the show immediately gave word that the Benoit joke was to be cut from the show.
July 24, 200718 yr comment_5419689 Holy shit. Also, I wonder how many of the people who are playing the "PERSONAL CHOICEZ~!" card are the people who would throw a spaz fit and point to the workout routine when it was suggested that Benoit might be on roids of some sort.
July 24, 200718 yr comment_5419691 They must be really out of people when Flavor fucking Flav is getting roasted.
July 24, 200718 yr comment_5419706 "The thing that stuck out to me more than anyone was when JBL said that he brought his kids to TV in suits and he marched them around in suits and made them do this and made them do that. I immediately felt control, I felt Great Santini." -- Kevin Nash in his new Torch Talk
July 24, 200718 yr comment_5419734 Per Meltzer on today's F4D, Benoit's heart was normal. Weird. Just to add to this, on the July 25th Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer does say that when Dr. Kris Sperry was examining Benoit's body, that while their was no enlarged organs or heart problems, he did notice "signs of 'heavy duty' steroid use".
July 25, 200718 yr comment_5419767 So James Fawcett is now the third pro wrestler of 2007 to commit suicide by hanging himself. This is starting to remind me of Heathers ...
July 25, 200718 yr comment_5419781 Another mark doctor gets caught: From today's WON: --The New York Daily News today reported Dr. Claire Godfrey plea bargained a guilty plea to escape prison time as part of the Albany D.A. David Soares' steroid investigation. As part of agreeing to turn states evidence and testify against Signature Compound Pharmacy in Orlando, which has been linked to several WWE wrestlers. Godfrey was accused of writing illegal prescriptions worth more than $1.3 million for steroids. Among her patients were two current WWE wrestlers who weren't named. Chris Benoit was not one of the wrestlers. Her deal were clients would pay $10,000 as a fee and in return, Godfrey would write steroid prescriptions for them without ever seeing them. She would then charge $50 per signature. I have a feeling there's more of this coming.
July 25, 200718 yr comment_5419782 Also, Dawn Ostroff, President of the CW Network, said in an interview with Variety that Chris Benoit had never been featured on her station.
July 25, 200718 yr comment_5419784 When did UPN become CW, and when did Benoit leave Smackdown the last time?
July 25, 200718 yr comment_5419786 Yep, that's what I thought. Seems to be the whole company's unspoken attitude. "Chris who? I'm sure he never worked here!" Apparently the Vengeance DVD is out, and has been edited to remove all references to Benoit.
July 26, 200718 yr comment_5419858 Here's another money quote from Nash's Torch talk interview: "Is it a Gacy situation? I don't mean this to be disrespectful in any form or fashion, but there were so many guys that said that Chris was an incredibly intense worker and he was this and he was that. I'm sure there were people who would have said that Gacy was an incredibly great clown at the kids' birthday parties."
July 26, 200718 yr comment_5419862 You got to think Nash and Mike Graham are sitting at home thanking God that the guy they enjoyed fucking with didn't snap earlier.
July 26, 200718 yr Author comment_5419864 You got to think Nash and Mike Graham are sitting at home thanking God that the guy they enjoyed fucking with didn't snap earlier. Was it Benoit who Graham pulled the knife on or a different Radical?
July 26, 200718 yr comment_5419865 Either Benoit or Malenko. Malenko makes sense as there was some sort of Malenko family v Graham family heat from back in Florida that remember reading about for first time when this all went down. Point was that as result of Florida family heat, Graham had rep for fucking with the "Vanilla Midgets". I think Benoit led the effort to try to get Graham fired after incident. I may be having some Dr Astin prescribed memory lapses here, but that's the way I remember it.

I'm am stunned that she doesn't go to the slammer for taking the fee and then future fees per each script. John

July 26, 200718 yr comment_5419878 You got to think Nash and Mike Graham are sitting at home thanking God that the guy they enjoyed fucking with didn't snap earlier. Of course! The Columbine angle.
July 27, 200718 yr comment_5419882 Boris Malenko ran Sunbelt Wrestling as an outlaw/opposition group against Graham's CWF. Off topic, but I've never heard of Sunbelt Wrestling before. Does footage exist and was it actually any good?

July 27, 200718 yr comment_5419914 This is way off focus at this point and don't want to drag this that far away. But: Of course! The Columbine angle. I wasn't suggesting a Columbine, guy who constantly gets picked on but finaly snaps angle. That seems like bullshit angle to approach. I think in looking at Benoit paranoid guy worried about loosing his job, its important to remember that his experiences in wrestling biz would encourage paranoia. But still not Columbine. I was not suggesting that Graham or Nash contributed to Benoit going crazy. But rather they're guys who have to be thinking, "Wow that guy was a crazy psycho, thank God I wasn't there." Nash interview is amusing for lots of reasons. Off topic, but I've never heard of Sunbelt Wrestling before. Does footage exist and was it actually any good? No footage that I know of. I think Friedlander has a poor VQ Eric Embry v Dean or Eddy match where one of the participants is injured.
