Is there such a thing as a Goldberg nostalgia match ? I mean, is there really a Goldberg nostalgia ? The guy's whole career was pretty much squashing JTTS on Nitro and blowing smoke out of his nose. I totally hated him back then. Waste of my time, squashed a red hot Raven, was useless in the ring until he crossed DDP. Really not a fond memory at all of that period.

Goldberg vs. Jerry Flynn (run multiple times) were fun squashes, with Flynn getting a little bit of offense in most of the matches.

I'm nostalgic for Goldberg, but I also watched every Nitro and Thunder until the bitter end and enjoyed them more than I should have.

He hasn't wrestled for 6 years, 7 come next Mania. A big star's first match back in years tends to generate some buzz and draw some PPV buys you might not have otherwise garnered (see Bret this year). Given his local ties to the area, Goldberg wrestling on the show would generate WWE some positive local publicity. Any opponent you give him would be a fresh match. So to me, it seems like a good idea for a hook for next year's Mania. It's not like the company has many marquee matches left that haven't been seen plenty of times before and it's unlikely that by next year they will create a new generation of red hot stars that will be able to carry the show on their own.

Goldberg was awesome and the jobber squashes were great. He had a great aura and the matches where he beat Raven for the US title and Hogan for the title were amazing spectacles. He definitely belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame because at one point he was a massive star, especially given that the HOF currently has people like Ivan Putski, Johnny Rodz, Wendi Richter and Bob Eucker....and technically Mike and Chris Von Erich. Just like any card, the WWE HOF needs a relatively recent main-eventer for it's HOF every year as the draw and there aren't too many left...Goldberg definitely fits the bill.

Count me in as someone who is nostalgic for Goldberg too. Give me the music, the smoke entrance, the spear and the jackhammer and a guy with Goldberg's charisma and presence, and it's a million times more entertaining than most of wrestling now.

Any of you guys watched the Jazz & Rodney Mack shoot interview? It is almost comedic in regards to the couples mixed fortunes. Jazz is for the most part is happy go lucky about her career while Rodney is on the verge of tears about working road crew in ECW.

People on Scott Keith's blog are wishing death on John Cena

To be fair, I'm a little surprised they aren't wishing death on Scooter.

Regarding Goldberg "nostaligia": eh, maybe. I mean, not for me personally, but I can sort of see it, especially from people who may have been marks/new to the business when he was squashing everyone. And him in the HoF isn't any worse than some of the others in there, as previously mentioned.

The doesnt respect the gay it seems:

Ric Flair confronted an on-air male companion of Orlando Jordan at a bar that several wrestlers and TNA crew members hung out at after the Impact taping last Tuesday. Flair got so upset while watching the male companion dance at the bar that he confronted the man and cut a promo on him. Jordan's male companion was said to be shaken by Flair's comments and left the bar.

Powell's POV: I originally heard that Flair asked the man to leave, but was told yesterday that Jordan's friend left the bar because he was shaken up by what Flair told him. I'll let you form your own conclusions as to why Flair was so uncomfortable with the man. Perhaps there's more to the story that I'm not aware of, but Flair was said to be fuming over the male companion having a role in the company and not belonging in the locker room.
