In the CWC he basically got a job by having Ibushis best match of the tournament, in what might have been the best match of the tournament. Then 2 years later he wins the Cruiserweight title with an awesome showing in a tournament. And no it feels like his stock is rising quickly from having such a great match with Corbin. Alexander is awesome at wrestling as “under dog babyface that shows up big time in a big match”
