Kenny Omega: "If [NXT] guys were in the same show as me, they'd be in the dark match. They'd be in the opening match of my main event match."

Omega's headlined shows and had good matches, Shane did all his bragging with nothing but Dean Douglas and the Dynamic Dudes on his resume. He was out there talking shit on the biggest star in the business while never getting above the level of lower mid card comedy guy.  Kenny may come off as a dork at times but at least he's put in the work to be able to talk shit on people.

Actually, right before ECW, Shane Douglas was a WCW World Tag Team Champion with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat when that still meant something. It was a very good team, and he played it straight as a fiery white meat babyface. No comedy at all. You could've definitely seem him as a credible U.S. or TV Champion during that brief window.

So, Paul Heyman's push of Shane Douglas didn't come out of thin air. Douglas had already built some level of credibility beforehand. The idea that Shane went straight from being a "Dynamic Dude" into "The Franchise" is not at all accurate.

("Dean Douglas" was between his two ECW stints, BTW. Throwing down the NWA belt in ECW happened before Dean.)

I was watching tv this morning.  I saw a commercial for Wendy's that said, "No one does spicy chicken like Wendy's!"

Uh, I've had better spicy chicken at numerous places.

Wendy's will be out of business in a year going around saying stuff like that.
