That leaves us the TV shows to sift through. I talked to Bix about the Brian Last tapes. I will see what he can come up with within the next couple of weeks. If nothing materializes, then we'll move past this collection. Dan is looking for his copy of Flair-Reed 10/27/85. We need to order a couple of the Watts leftovers.
July 17, 200718 yr comment_5419424 I got the Brandon Bollum DVD's 10-16 in the mail today, this is Houston TV. I will run through them and see if it is new footage, and send to Kris and Will if neccesary.
August 5, 200718 yr Author comment_5420225 I sent emails to both Brian Last and Brandon. We will see how that works out. Having both collections would be awesome since Brandon has Houston masters and Last has the Munari masters. Also, Dan told me that Steve was working on the Power Pros at the moment and should be released soon.
August 6, 200718 yr Author comment_5420235 OK, Brandon said he would convert the discs into 2hour discs but that it would end up over 40 discs. For his troubles (and haveing to explain to his wife he is recording them again) I am sending him $200. For the time period, his collection covers a huge chunk of what we need which means we can use other money for VQ upgrades, some of Friedlanders stuff and maybe Last's collection if he responds. IN the meantime, he is sending Phil Vol. 1-9 (in 6 hour mode since he is almost finished) so you guys will still be able to watch the footage he is sending me so you can nominate the matches.
August 6, 200718 yr comment_5420244 Are we sure the 2 hour recording is going to improve VQ that much? I imagine most of the problems are because the tapes are old. Also we might want to watch the DVD's before he starts re-recording so maybe he doesn't have to rerecord all of it, just the stuff we need.

It will improve the VQ significantly in terms of pixelation. When I make the 4 hour sets, matches shown from 6 hour discs put on 4 hour discs will be impossible to view. As far as errors from old tapes and whatnot, for the Houston matches, we aren't going to get any better source than Brandon. This also will cut down dramatically what e need from Friedlander and Last since the Houston covers a large chunk of that period.

I may either trade or buy the discs from him and keep you posted. If he really does have all of 86 and 87 then we dont need to hunt anymore because those combined with the Power Pros from Dan will complete the process. The only drawback is that he does not have the dates so we have to do date hunting.

EDIT: After talking to Jack, I don't think it is a complete run but it should help fill in gaps and save on the pocketbook anyway once I establish what discs we need.

Dan is still waiting on Friedlander I gave up on Bix and Brian Last I am still waiting for Jack to give me match lists. In conclusion, we are at a standstill
September 7, 200718 yr comment_5421598 As far as 86 TV goes, looks like Brandon is missing March threw May, also there are a couple of matches which he doesn't have. A TV six man with Superstar/Sawyer/Murdoch v. Duggan/DiBiase/Williams, the finish of the TV Fabs v. Rock and Rolls, and the Reed v. Slater title change.
